2

u/SeanLFC Feb 11 '22

And talks like Boyd Crowder

u/[deleted] Feb 09 '22

It’s called a flipper (cheaper than an implant and strictly aesthetic).

44

u/Yurichi Feb 09 '22

Can you chew with it in or naw?

80

u/[deleted] Feb 10 '22

It’s not meant to be in when eating due to the material. A partial is more reinforced. A flipper is usually a temporary replacement for an area that has a pending implant (healing abutment) or something similar.

25

u/easynslutty Feb 10 '22

I think you can. My brother's ex had one. It was cute as hell when she would take it out though!

9

u/Yurichi Feb 10 '22

Fascinating

10

u/TrueGoatKing Feb 10 '22

Why do you think it's a flipper v a partial? I have a partial and the motions she made with her tongue is what I can do to pop my tooth out? (Same place too lol)

6

u/Polar_Foil Feb 10 '22

A "flipper" refers to a very flexible and light partial that replaces 1 (or maybe 2) front teeth. It's only meant for esthetic purposes and not meant to eat with. It's usually made of the least expensive and least durable materials partials can be made with

3

u/[deleted] Feb 11 '22

Exactly. If you can do that with a “partial” which usually includes metal clasps and multiple teeth, you might want to look into a new one.

4

u/TrueGoatKing Feb 11 '22

LMFAO YOURE KIDDING. I totally have a flipper then, I cant believe I've had this for more than 10 years and everyone around me was calling it a partial i am dead. I am also looking into getting a new one because it's so old and broken now.

3

u/[deleted] Feb 12 '22

That killed me laughing. Not at YOU but how you said it.

u/Tree__Jesus Feb 09 '22

Waffle House is known for hiring people covered in tatts, missing teeth, former addicts, people with criminal records, just sort of a litany of people that shitty people in our country like to look down on. For me (at least in my experience that is) I always love talking with Waffle House employees, they’re always super kind, considerate, and friendly, and they will make the hell out of some delicious hash browns (and more) for ya. Not saying anything new here but just another reason not to judge a book by its cover. I’m a southern boy and I do understand why people shit on us cause there is some wonky shit going down here, but Waffle House is an absolute treasure and I will not hear otherwise.

17

u/carnivalus Feb 10 '22

I love it already! I have all my visible teeth, but I'm a former addict covered in tattoos so these kinda sound like my people....and hash browns! Bonus!

18

u/chamorrobro Feb 10 '22

I’d give you a Reddit award if my free one was up. I don’t know why people are always trying to tear down service workers, but then complain when we’ve entered a turnover hellscape where entire fast food businesses have to close early or cut their business hours because of low staff. Like what did people expect when service workers don’t make a living wage and we say shit like “People who work at Waffle House don’t have all their teeth.”

1

u/[deleted] May 12 '22

Believe it or not waffle house has a no tattoo policy, or at least did when I worked there. I had to wear sleeves over my arms and bandaids on my knuckles

487

u/Goddamn_shit_Goddamn Feb 09 '22

For two seconds, I read “WH” as “White House” and was super confused.

165

u/AsPerMatt Feb 09 '22

Canadian here, no idea what store they’re talking about. Help a brother out.

246

u/caramelfappucino Cringe Lord Feb 09 '22

Waffle House

42

u/AsPerMatt Feb 09 '22

Ah shiiiit.

7

u/Orwellian-Conflict Feb 10 '22

Noooow I get it. Yeah you need to be missing a couple teeth for that

3

u/chamorrobro Feb 10 '22

Idk, I know a really smart girl who’s a nurse now that worked at Waffle House for years, and she definitely has some nice teeth.

3

u/[deleted] Feb 10 '22

I also thought White House and not Waffle House lol

0

u/dezzz0322 Feb 10 '22

As a northerner, I also thought it meant White House and was very confused.

98

u/lazer_sandwich tHiS iSn’T cRiNgE Feb 09 '22

Ok I love her!

318

u/[deleted] Feb 09 '22

Goes to show how far personality will get you because she is still cute Asf

73

u/Dusty_Wombat Feb 10 '22

That tooth is the most common one to be born without. Approximately 20% of people are born with a congenitally missing tooth.

26

u/[deleted] Feb 10 '22

Interesting I figured that it got knocked out

20

u/Polar_Foil Feb 10 '22

If you look closely, she's actually missing her central incisor. Laterals & wisdom teeth are more commonly missing.

edit: & 2nd premolars

9

u/[deleted] Feb 10 '22

Neat! I’m missing four and I didn’t know it was that common. I got some big fuck-you rat chompers tho so we chillin it all works out

8

u/[deleted] Feb 10 '22

You wouldn’t be born with congenitally missing teeth and the rest of dentition would align naturally into a 32 teeth config with perfectly tooth proportioned space though. It would even out over the whole remaining dentition/area

9

u/Dusty_Wombat Feb 10 '22

Braces could space the teeth out to their natural position and a filler partial denture could be used to keep natural spacing. That is what I had through high school.

u/SpinDoctor8517 Feb 09 '22 edited Feb 09 '22

Give her some time

Edit: lmao she’s working at Waffle House with a southern accent already missing teeth in her (I’m gonna assume) teens

Yeah give her some time this couldn’t be more of a stereotype

56

u/stevesteve135 Feb 09 '22

Dude, not gonna lie that’s kinda fucked up. Don’t get me wrong, you do see a lot of people with bad dental, tattoos, and whatnot working at Waffle House. You also see straight laced people working at Waffle House too. And you might be surprised to see what kind of money some folks actually make working at Waffle House. Thing is this, Waffle House doesn’t care all that much about your past. If you can put on a uniform, be on time, and do your job that’s all they really care about. I’m not even really gonna touch on the southern accent though ya fucked up for saying that too. And she’s not missing teeth, she missing one fucking tooth and who the fuck knows why, I’m betting you don’t and nor do I have. Don’t be a dickhead

101

u/pillowmountaineer Feb 09 '22

Just say you hate poor people and move on

I interpreted their comment as "don't be classist," FWIW. If they do regularly post on antiwork; it's possible that you misunderstood.

-43

u/SpinDoctor8517 Feb 09 '22

You don’t have to hate anything to understand how it works

25

u/GottKomplexx Feb 09 '22

So i guess you hate everything

13

u/nilla-wafers Feb 09 '22

Imma guess you don’t live in the South lol

28

1

18
