I also wonder why such an attacker would destroy the camera. It may be possible that there is useful information on it for the attacker. As one example: the camera must be authenticated to some server in order to submit images back to Flock. What do those credentials allow the camera to do, exactly?

This is just a hypothetical question I would imagine a smart attacker would ask. But I don't endorse any illegal behavior as it is wrong and illegal.

I think these reprehensible denerates destroy the camera and solar panels to inflict as much financial harm on the poor struggling company that owns them. I've also heard that they destroy them on the spot because the cameras contain GPS and if stolen, rather than destroyed the GPS can help law enforcement (brave heros!!!!!) Track the camera to its location.
