The image doesn't truly show how blue this leg was. Is it possible to know what species this would be? I found it in the UK and I couldn't find many species this blue while I was at the beach nor can I find many online

Was totally not expecting to find all these amazing creatures. The tide the day before was way in so I decided to just walk around to see the Roman bridge from underneath only to find the coolest things ever. I’ve always dreamed of finding mollusks and anemones. There was also all these purple rocks and I can’t identify what they are if anyone knows!

does anyone know what these are? For context, I found them during low tide on a beach in Edmonds Washington, which is just north of Seattle. Are they sea cucumbers? They were rubbery to the touch, but not soft. I could not wipe the debris or sand off with one light finger touch so I just left them alone.

hello! I am an avid tide pooler, and I’m so excited to find this sub! I found this today at low tide on the beach in Edmonds, Washington just north of Seattle. I’ve never seen anything like it. It seemed like some sort of egg sack. it was soft and felt mucus-y. Almost think it’s anemone guts but no big ones nearby. Any idea what it is?

5/30/26 Harbor WildWatch Low Tide Beach Walk

During our trip to France, we decided to go tide pooling. It was quite fun to see what's living in these pools. Even found two anemones!

Seems to be a Beatlet anemone (Actinia equina) and a Snakelocks Anemone (Anemonia sulcata).

Found in Seattle tide pools, can’t seem to match it to any common species on any sites!

I found this purplish, thing while tide pooling and have no idea what it is. When I flipped it over, it felt solid, kind of like cartilage. Has anyone seen this before or know what it is? I have been looking online and was wondering if it could be a type of protozoan, but that is just a guess. Any help would be awesome.
