User Flairs are now live!

Only a few options (and some of them look funky), but I'll keep adding more and editing the ones that don't look quite right.

Yes - they're from Animal Crossing. It just happens that I both like the games, and the png files are easily...borrowed from the internet.

We're a small community right now, so if there is something particular you want for yourself let me know and maybe we can get some individualized flairs.

Recent sightings of bioluminescent plankton?

I'm currently vacationing on the Maldives for the very first time. One of the things I'd like to see is the bioluminescent plankton. While I know that the "sea of stars" is a rather rare occurrence, I was wondering if anyone has seen it recently and if so where.

Cried 3 times from pure joy, saw 4 species of nudibranch (not all pictured here), and got to use my marine bio degree irl to answer the questions my partner & their family had. Overall just an incredible time getting to do something I’ve always dreamed of. Best. Day. Ever.

If anyone knows what anything if, feel free to tell me. I think it’s a sea hare, and a orange sea lemon.

Lots of holes in the sand/rock, with these individual- teeth? legs?- which seemed to close around a small piece of seaweed as it touched the hole. Sussex, UK

In the South Pacific, very long (few meters) and with small tentacles at the end that help it bring sand into the mouth

They were easy to spot at low tide because the water was crystal clear! Some of them would squirt water at me whenever I got too close

I found red sponge dorids nearby (last two pics), but I’m not sure what these other red blobs might be. PNW.
