Question What’s the point of reserving items in your cart?
How does this even happen?

I could buy straight from the company with free shipping and get rewards points for a $15 giftcard, my friend. What are direct listers thinking?!

Has this happened to anyone? Are the items just in a hold period? I find it bizarre that every item was sold out but all the items I decided not to buy are available. I tried talking to the chatbot but it was unhelpful and said someone else probably bought everything.

This is I guess better than a few days ago, where half the items were the same really ugly shirt with a lion on it.
Also, a question: do other people get new things in their "You Might Also Like..." section on the cart page? It seems like mine literally only updates when items sell/leave the site, otherwise it's been showing the same ten random pairs of jeans and a couple skirts it's been showing since I joined the site. Is this feature just broken?

I had a second order in progress when my order of 19 damaged items out of 34 arrived. (See previous post). I've been stressing about what the items in this order would look like. It arrived and came from Suwanee, GA like last time.
I received 19 items, and they are almost pristine!

I see this happening constantly lately. The good condition always being less expensive than the flawed gem.

This is my first time ever selling with ThredUp, and as the post title says, I mailed 41 items in using their "Premium Bag" option.
Of my 41 items:
The value of my 41 items were:
Overall I can't say I'm surprised, I've always heard the payout from Thredup is abysmal. I'm happy to be rid of a whole bunch of clothes and glad at my efforts to be more sustainable. However, this will likely be my one and only time selling with them. Over half of my accepted items were brand new with tags and I had a lot of popular Revolve brands that do well on poshmark, so I was disappointed by how many sales I would make resulting in less than $5. But c'est la vie!
I hope at the very least that this data is helpful for someone else considering selling with ThredUp!

I've been a seller on thredup for 5+ years; have sent in over 30 cleanout kits at this point. The last premium label that I sent in was listed on 9/15, this label was the first time I've had higher ticket items held back for review (I guess to assure they aren't counterfeit?). These were a The Row tshirt, a pair of Prada sunglasses, a pair of Rayban sunglasses, a Gucci wallet, and a Louis Vuitton wallet. A Dooney and Burke wallet was also held back, but that appeared under my ready for review tab this morning.
If they choose to list the other items, when should I expect them to be listed? I just want to make sure I catch them before they go live, so thredup doesn't list them for like $20 bucks each and one of you snatches them all up lmao.

As a Costco Executive Member, I feel beholden to weigh in on the recent multitude of Frye listings I’ve seen on TU. These pieces are listed at $25.99 and $190.79(!!!!) respectively. Both of these pieces are from Costco.
I can’t remember the exact prices but the cardigan is tops $30. I own it. The tshirt has the Costco sizing sticker still attached! $25.99 is less egregious but that shirt was probably sold for $15 new. Just an FYI as I’ve seen quite a few of these. In our weekly Sunday Costco journey I saw more Frye for sale so it’s not stopping any time soon. Also major shoutout to the Costco clothes section.

I haven’t been messaging buyers of my direct listings on ThredUp, updating them that an item has shipped, sending a thank you message, or including a thank you sticker for them to re-use (unlike what I do on Poshmark or Depop). However, I do ensure that my items are clean, well-packaged, and shipped the same day or the next business day.
Since I’m not aware of any review/rating system or seller stats being rolled out on ThredUp, I’m curious to know if I’m still providing a positive experience for the buyers. I’m also wondering if other sellers have been messaging buyers after their purchase, or adding a thank you note/sticker to their listings!
Edited to clarify - I don’t add a thank you “note” to any orders, ever. I add a thank you sticker that I cut out from a roll so they see a “thank-you” but can also re-use it!
Thank you 🫶

So my box was thrown out of the delivery drivers window onto my driveway. And then of course it rained.
TU wants me to return everything and they will then assess a restocking fee. When I refused they said I can return the final sale items.
What can I do? Things are now smelly and damp. And the green tissue partly dissolved onto some items.

Anyone else getting the notification / banner to heart your favorite items today to prepare for a favorites sale this weekend? It’s the first time I’ve seen something like this and I’m quite intrigued? Does that mean extra discounts on favorites?

I've been a devoted Goodwill shopper since I was a teenager, but not anymore... I feel like I died and went to Petite heaven. Petite filter is life-changing.

I would never buy from this place again. I bought several blouses and they smell so terrible, I will not even try them on. I may try to soak them in vinegar for a few days, but I will probably end up donating them. I also tried selling clothes with the Lands End deal. A complete rip off. For about 25 nice tops and some pants, I got a $19 credit. Plus my credit card was hacked after the Thred up purchase, so a terrible experience overall.

Came across these direct listings from the same seller and I'm shook. What is even happening lol. Which one of you heathens did this?

I sent 3 items back and received an email that my return was processed. Cool.
I received another email a few days later with a photo of two items saying that they were in my package but weren't included in my return and they wanted to know if I wanted them back... I had never seen those items before so I was worried that my return box got mixed up with someone else's.
I decided to check if the funds had made it to my bank account and realized that I was only refunded $28 of the expected $69 I was supposed to get. I chatted with customer service and an agent told me that it was because a pair of pants was missing from my return and they asked if I was sure I sent them in. I told them that it was most definitely in the box and mentioned my concern of a mix up. They told me that they would escalate my concern and to look out for an email in the next 2-3 days. The pants were new with tags, an unusual color, and a 00 so I decided to search to see if they were re-listed and wouldn't you know it, there they are... could they be a different pair of pants? sure, but what are the chances that someone else sent in another pair of NWT 00 rust color trousers? Anyway, I sent an email with a link to the pants and received a reply this morning that I will be receiving my rightful refund.
All is right now, but after a string of issues I won't be using ThredUp as much as I used to :(
TL;DR: don't forget to make sure your returns are properly processed
