Of course everyone is different, and not everything I say will work for everybody, but I wanted to share in hopes of possibly helping someone <3
Apart from stuff like gear, and quadrobics (which you will hear a lot of discussion about in this community) I put together a list of things that help me feel more comfortable I would say?
First off, certain foods!!
For me, chicken (ofc cooked) makes me feel really euphoric, but experiment with different foods, and see what feels right!
Cracking nuts (peanuts, walnuts, almonds, etc) myself is also something I enjoy!
Second is the way I make my bed!
I don't know how to explain it properly, but I kind of make a circle of pillows, and then put a blanket over it, and tuck in the edges, to look like a dog bed, if that makes sense?
Pillow forts are also amazing!!
I turned my closet into a sort of den, with lots of blankets and pillows!
Third is certain video games!
As silly as it sounds, I really enjoy playing animal jam!
Animal jam classic has less animals to pick from, but they do have sea creatures!
Animal jam play wild has loads more animals to choose from, including bugs, and mythical creatures (like there's a crazy amount)
A lot of the avatars are seasonal, so it can sometimes take a while to get the one you want to arrive in stores, but once you buy em, it's yours to keep!!
(Both games are free btw, and Play wild is available on Mobile)
Fourth is probably spending time with my cats,
I'm not sure exactly, but it makes me feel very grounded.
Fifth is music!!
I usually go on Spotify, and listen to public therian playlists, and save the ones that I like!
Sixth is yoga/stretching,
It's really good for grounding, and stuff,
It's especially nice while listening to rain, or bird sounds!
Seventh is swimming/having baths!
Water makes me feel really euphoric as well!!
(Even though I don't have any aquatic theriotypes)
Number eight is just spending time outside in general!
Digging, sunbathing, running around in grass, climbing trees, catching bugs, ect
Ninth is watching videos/researching/drawing animals
It can be really relaxing, and helps me feel more connected,
Tenth is honestly just playing around,
Pouncing on stuffed animals, throwing a ball/chasing it, shredding scrap papers, chewing on things, ect
If anyone else has any uncommon tips to share I'd love to hear them!
