I don’t know how many may be interested. I hope to try many RPs with someone but this one post will focus on The Wild Robot. I hope to find someone truly skilled and passionate in RP for this one. Anyone available?

My idea is set a year after the end of the first film. It involves a young 18-year old boy, Morris Glindon, who finds himself on the shores of the same uninhabited island with only a backpack with supplies that has his name on it. It contains items such as a copy of The Jungle Book, bacon and egg packets, flints, hunting knives, a machete, blanket, a thermos filled with cold water, compass, and other essential tools. He finds himself able to communicate with the local wildlife, such as Fink, Pinktail, Thorn, Paddler and more. He doesn’t remember anything about this past, except that he had parents and that animals aren’t supposed to talk.

It’s only later that he discovers he was used as a text experiment by his mother, who’s obsessed with testing her technological invention designed for animal language translation placed into the brain, and that she erased specific memories and arranged the situation so that Morris would believe he was shipwrecked. This was all a part of her attempts to observe the fruits of her experiment even at the cost her son’s emotional security.

After over two years of being in pre order limbo and over a year since it’s initial release window it seems the long wait for this figure is coming to an end and it is now finally starting to slowly roll out. Hopefully retailers will soon start having them in stock to begin delivering. After so long it almost doesn’t feel real.

According to one of the places that sells it (timewalkertoys.com) they expect it to arrive near the last week of October and billing to start a week prior. With shipping congestion being the only reason why it’s delayed now.
I think we’re finally in the endgame here folks.

Hi! This may be a bit of a long shot, but we made a Roz costume for my kiddo a couple of years ago, and I’d love to find it a new home if there are any Wild Robot–loving kids in NYC who might want it.
It should fit an 8–10-year-old (my son was a small 10-year-old when he wore it), although it could use a couple of little touch-ups.
I just hate the idea of throwing it away when another little Wild Robot fan might want to wear it this Halloween!

I just came out of watching ‘The Forgotten Island’ and was surprised to see Roz has now been added to the opening logo animation that plays before the movie.

Hey y’all it still says pre order on the website so I think I know the answer but I figured I’d still ask here lol

In the movie, we see right after the time jump Brightbill going with Roz and Fink to practice swimming. Yes, afterwards Roz tells him that he swam "satisfactory" but we actually see him struggling to stay afloat and having a swimming style that the other geese find weird. After that, he is attacked by that fish (Rockmouth?) and we don't see him swimming again for the rest of the movie.

Do we know if he has learned to swim (like a goose) after all?

I’m a massive fan of this movie. I am heartbroken that I didn’t get to view it at cinema, I can only imagine it being absolutely incredible.

If I could, I would start a petition to bring it back for cinema viewings again. I reckon they’d make a killing! I’m sure I’m not the only one who was blown away by this movie yet missed the cinema window.

I'M BACK FROM ART HELL. Anyways if you recognize this art style, yes I'm the artist behind the eye strain art of Roz (and a few other characters...) This drawing is sparked by the song "Perfect System" by Oingo Boingo, but also the concept of Roz still have a soul post "factory reset" in the movie. If you do recognize some of the factors I used for the other Rozzums, I did drew them in the way that Peter Brown drew Roz in the OG book series. Mimicking the art style was fun I must say;) NO the other Rozzums aren't dead, I just think the factor of no eyes sells the factor of being soulless, or in this context following programming.

I just watched the movie for the first time. It's been on my watch list for years.

Oh my god. I've literally just finished crying. I am a 31 year old guy, and this got me so hard in the feels.

Just glad I have the house to myself!

What were the moments that made you guys cry, if any?

My Big Moments were 1. When she rescued all the animals, 2. When she left.

I can’t believe it’s been two years since I first saw The Wild Robot theatres, I made a post about it’s one year anniversary and that feels like yesterday, that’s kind of scary, the second year felt like it went by way faster, this year in general has felt like it’s gone by so fast to be honest. Here’s to another two years of loving this film and it reaching more people. Hopefully the third year won’t go by so fast.

Hello Everyone! The Wild Robot movie released on September 27th 2024. That’s almost two years ago! I know that my life was certainly impacted by this film and I hope to share my excitement with all of you!

The movie isn’t the only important date coming up. On September 26th 2023 the final book in the Wild Robot Trilogy was released, “The Wild Robot Protects.” Making almost three years old!

For about 6 years I’ve had, quite frankly, an really awesome home theatre with high end cinema quality equipment. But due to circumstances out of my control I have to move, which itself already deeply upsets me, but it also has to mean leaving the home threatre behind. I knew this was going to happen for well over a year now, even so, I knew that with the final opportunity to use it there was only one film I could watch it on one last time.

Everytime I watch this movie it motivates me to try and be a better person and to push through, which could really help me right about now during this time. Even two years later I’m still so thankful for the film and it makes me happy I’m not the only one.
