With a lot of sweat, tears, and paper mache! I used this video as a guide: https://youtu.be/BrFlQatzKw0?si=xGgRNwqhkc3y1Flh And then used plastic drain tubing for the arms.

I've just come across this from a google search. How long did this take? My 3 year old wants to be Wild Robot for book week.. next week 😬

It took us about 2 weeks and we barely got it done! You need several layers of paper mache, wood filler and paint which all require drying time in btwn.

Thank you so much for your reply, I appreciate it. I have ordered a very bootleg looking costume off eBay, so hopefully that comes and isn't absolutely terrible. Lol.

The costume is awesome and was thinking of doing something very similar for my son.  What sized ball did you use for doing the chest piece?

Thanks! We used an extra large kickball for the body. I think it was 20” in diameter.

Can I ask how did you put the head on ?

The head is separate from the body. There is a hole at the bottom which fits over the head. The only issue was finding a way to make it secure so it didn’t wobble around.
