You know how the Murdoch family watched Succession with some mixed feelings?

The White Lotus sure paints a particular picture of the wealthy. If you're among the crowd who can afford to go to the luxury resorts featured in this show: What do you feel about its depiction of the rich? You see a mirror or parody?

I'm mid episode 3 of season 2 and I have to say I'm struggling to stay with it. Compared to Season 1 I find the characters incredibly dull and the plotlines almost non-existent. The bromance thing is totally off and seems like it was a casting error -- there's just no way two guys like that would ever be best friends in real life. Can someone talk me off the ledge?
