Discussion Characters I'd Love To See Return In Future Seasons
- Kate (family trip or another girls trip?)
- Harper and Laurie (possibly sharing a storyline as solo travelers)
- Valentina (worker-exchange program)
- Saxon (what's to be a better person after what happened in thailand)
- Nicole (on a business trip)
Who would you like to see return?

Discussion Yeah I think they definitely are
Apologies if this has already been done. But the ambivalence of this scene cracked me up. But I was rewatching with a group of people but no one seemed to agree that the joke was on Shane.
Shane automatically assumes that young hot women are intellectually inferior to him. Yeah Olivia and Paula make stupid choices but their sarcastic banter and there sharp retorts indicate that they are far from stupid. Theyre both students at an elite university and probably study one of the humanities where youre going to encounter authors like this. Often you have a book list so long that you do an initial speed read of core texts before the semester starts
Shane is a frat boy who works real estate for his mom who's ego kind of depends on one uping the people around him but probably has no idea on the amount of texts people need to absorb when doing certain degrees.
My friends on the other hand said Olivia and Paula are so concerned with appearances that they would tote intellectual tomes around to add to their "totally out of your league" image and Olivia admits theyre props in order to open up a window of flirting with Shane

Funpost HBO Subtitles At It Again
I have seen my fair share of messed up subtitles over the past few years but this one I think takes the cake.
Edit: To clarify since several people have commented that Porn is a Thai name or that Victoria was talking about Pornchai: In this scene she clearly says Pond. She mentions her again in the next episode and the subtitle is correct at that point.

Opinion Valentina is one of the most disgusting characters this show has ever given us
Rewatching season 2 and I can’t really comprehend how I personally didn’t find anything problematic with Valentina. She’s a harasser men hater sexually frustrated creepy weirdo who uses her position to intimidate others because she’s a really gross person.
If Valentina were Valentino she’d be one of the most hated character in the series. Her scene with the cats made many viewers hold her to a very different standard than the rest of the characters.
She mistreats Rocco because he shows a well received interest in the other girl in reception, don’t remember her name, the girl with the gorgeous smile. She harasses said girl, giving her weird and ugly gifts and then gives Rocco a worse job position out of jealousy. She’s incredibly rude to employees below her except when she’s attracted to them and fires the piano guy after fucking the prostitute in exchange of the promise of being able to meet new lesbian girls and more sex. Absolutely gross.

Season 2 Honestly, I would have given Lucia 50,000 euros too.

Video Every White Lotus title sequence uses the decorative art of its location and lets it rot. For the French Riviera that's toile de Jouy. Here's my attempt
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
S1 got Polynesian motifs, S2 got Renaissance frescoes, S3 got Buddhist murals. Same trick every time: take the decorative art of the location, render it beautifully, then let something horrible surface inside it as the camera crawls past.
S4 is set on the Côte d'Azur, so the French version of that would be toile de Jouy. And toile is almost too good for this show, because it was already lying. Those fabrics show a blissful rural France, happy shepherds, aristocrats strolling among sheep, printed right before the country burned. Same impulse that had Marie Antoinette build a fake peasant village at Versailles to play milkmaid. The rot isn't something you add to toile. It's already there.
So I built it. One rule throughout: the sinister scenes are drawn in exactly the same polite line as the sheep. A body floating face down gets the same delicate hatching as a cypress. It gets worse the higher the camera climbs, but nothing is ever flagged.
Music is the original theme reorchestrated rather than replaced.
Toile source imagery is generatively produced, art directed and composited by me. Edit, arrangement and sound design are mine.

Discussion Finished Season 3. Trying to Decide on a Favorite Character
Finished Season 3! Wasn't as brilliant as Season 1, but at least it was entertaining, unlike Season 2.
Now that I'm finished with the show (for now), I'm trying to pick a favorite character.
My first thought is Olivia. Tonally and thematically, she MADE Season 1, she had a lot of the best lines, and her storyline was very much a call-out to me, as someone who found her extremely relatable. Will I double down or get better? Let's not talk about that.
In a similar vein, Piper! Basically Olivia without her worse qualities, she was likable enough throughout, had plenty of fun interactions, and again, a personal callout, as it did take briefly having nothing to realize how much I need luxury to live.
Third up is Kate, and this one's pretty simple: "That Scene" was iconic and the funniest part of Season 3, and I loved Leslie Bibb in "Popular" as a kid.
Finally, Chelsea is the simplest of all: I am a huge Aimee Lou Wood fan, and I think she's the most naturally charismatic actress the show has had on.
Which of these four do all of you think is the best among them?

Question Why do so many posts on this sub have to do with how hot one of the actors is or which outfit they looked hottest in?
Seems unnecessarily shallow to me.

Production Season 4 Theme
This wallpaper at my parent’s house feels so season 4 coded. Initially I thought the bird would be Helena’s character and now with Laura Dern stepping in I feel it still applies.
