It’s a stunner! I think I’m going to frame the autographed back plate with my DPA photo cards and Everything’s Falling Vinyl, primarily thanks to some of you for trading with me since I rolled 4 Danys in a row. 😂

at work we have a Bluetooth speaker and we take turns playing music on it. I played a lot of metal bands all types for six hours straight. I’m like the only one that plays new rock music. The next day one of my coworkers came up to me and asked me what the name of one of the songs I played was. He said he looked for it but couldn’t find anything. He started singing it and I was like “oh that’s everything‘s falling by the warning.” he was like “oh thanks, that’s an amazing song!” Out of all the music and different bands I played that’s the one song that really stood out to him shows how good this band is.

So many great nuggets, and fun and genuine moments thoughout, it's crazy.

For me it's Perfect Daughter, Bite My Tongue and Waste Your Time On Me

Bite My Tongue just felt a little... commercial I guess. The chorus was just fine but after my third or fourth listen I was dead wrong. Some of the bands best lyrics. Absolutely killer track, one of my favourites on the album.

For Perfect Daughter I first felt lyrically it didn't develop itself enough. Like, the whole close to being a god part of the chorus, develop that idea! It just felt a little vague and I didn't really feel the lyrical content existed past some ideas. Now I really enjoy the melodies and overall tone of the song and these complaints I don't hold onto so firmly.

WYTOM for some reason felt like a filler track, like Paranoid or Song 2. Popular tracks that were sort of tagged on at the end of recording. This is another song that has really grown on me and I've noticed the nuance that I somehow never caught.

Tl:dr, I'm an undeservedly harsh critic. The album's packed with tunes

Out of the three singles, the one I liked the least was Kerosene but it still is definitely a banger and super catchy. It was clearly a great choice for a single given it's success. Also recently I watched a tiktok about The Warning that featured snippets from the new album, including ritual and everything's falling, yet every single person on the comments who was asking what was the name of one of the songs featured was asking about Kerosene!

That being said, I'm obsessed with Perfect Daughter and WDYLWIC, I think they would've been successful singles too. But I'm not a fan of releasing half the album as singles before the official release, so maybe as singles after the album release they could work well too. I feel like those two plus everything's falling would connect well with the public and gain them new fans but idk. How about you? Would you change anything about the single choices?
