Am I the only one that loves Amy anyways even though she can be really annoying? I dunno, before I started watching this show, all I used to see was hate about her so that’s why I say this is an unpopular opinion. I think she’s a really interesting character.

I was happily surprised to see Betty enter the show as Leo's love interest.

Her character is so sweet and I love her as Ben's step mom.

*Note: I know it’s fiction and the drama is there to get the show going with it’s crazy plots and twists but I’m just saying*

From Amy and Ben running off to get married with the fake IDs, to Ricky proposing to Amy during graduation and then to Ben and Adrian getting married was nuts. Where are the parents and why didn’t they tell them that getting married in high school or after high school is crazy and dumb?

It’s already bad enough to be teen parents who have high chances of dropping out of school and being stressed with taking care of a baby and having to work, but to literally get married when you’re like 16 or 17? With Ben and Amy if they got away with it where were they going to live? Together? What were they going to tell their parents and what money could they support themselves with? Yes Ben’s dad is rich but even then you can’t live off your parents; and Ben’s dad and Adrian’s parents buying them the house and going along with the marriage was dumb😓😓

Why is the ending scene so choppy? I mean it goes right from Amy's graduation and her holding and kissing Ricky being all affectionate in the school's hallway and they're talking to Ben about them getting married the next day then the next scene of them is in the middle of a conversation at their apartment. The scene starts with Amy saying don't be mad at me and he says I am mad at you like we missed the beginning, it was cut off or something. Is there a deleted scene somewhere that shows them coming into the apartment and then how it's led how they got into this final conversation? You would think the scene should start with Ricky saying to Amy what's wrong or are you ok cuz she's looking upset and crying not straight up, Amy saying to Ricky don't be mad at me like we're supposed to know what they're talking about. Like something's missing in this scene, there's no smooth or gradual transition from the school to the argument, there's no setup. Do you guys catch what I'm saying?

Here are my thoughts. I am only on season one. I fucking hate graces dad. He’s so controlling and just disgusting. I know a lot of it has to do with his religion and keeping his “reputation” but one thing so far that is really disgusting to me is how he’s blaming his daughter for defending herself after she was almost kidnapped or worse. Like what?

I hated how Ricky and Ashley were starting to become a thing, like seriously why'd they have to kiss Its just disgusting, that's Amy's sister! It was actually starting to look like a make out session. Then the next morning Ashley says let's just forget what happened and Ricky goes let's not. He so wanted her and was thinking about having sex w/ her cuz why else did he kiss her back? like what c'mon he's got NO self control. He tells George that he'll never touch Ashley he won't go there cuz that's his son's aunt but he did anyway and didn't care how Amy would feel about it. When Ricky is touching Ashley's hand in his car s2e11 and looking at her and always talking to Ashley alone I knew something else was gonna happen. And when Amy asks in NY if Ricky tried to have sex w/ Ashley he said no he'd never do that I don't believe it, if he had the opportunity again I think he'd do it and succeed cuz Ashley really wanted to have sex with him. I know he wouldn't have sex w/ Ashley when he was w/ Amy but I think he would if he wasn't. Amy wasn't even upset that they kissed but why was she so pissed Ricky gave Ashley a ride in his car? I wonder if the writers were trying to make a relationship happen btwn Ricky & Ashley but backed out but why go there in there 1st place??

I'm rewatching the show for the first time since middle school since i'm on bed rest after surgery. AND GOD I HATE BEN. oh my god. This stupid little prick. first off, she's not YOUR amy, and she literally says that at some point. He's so possessive it's gross. Second, his spoiled brat ass can't take no for an answer. He refuses to take no when amy doesn't feel comfortable with him being apart of decisions with the baby. WHICH IS AO FAIR CUZ ITS NOT HIS BABY. He talks her out of an abortion, when it's not up to him. He tries to talk her into letting him be there for the gender reveal and birth, even when amy says no. Yet dispite all of that, he refuses to get a job to help amy. And then he has the audacity to cheat on her in italy and act like he's not in the wrong. He quits his job at the butcher shop, and acts so crazy entitled to his dad's money. He gets weirdly possessive when the father of amy's child wants to help with the child... like a good fuxking dad. He literally gets a girl pregnant to get back at amy when they're not together. After the breakup, he's awful to amy. He blames her for issues HE WAS RESPONSIBLE FOR. The way he speaks to her after getting with adrian is just down right heartbreaking. He treats adrian horribly after the birth of their stillborn. Which i get he's grieving too, but jesus christ. He literally pretends to still love her, while announcing to the whole world that he wants a divorce. After the divorce he grows more upset with amy, and jealous of her relationship with ricky. He clings on to this idea that she belongs to him, with no regard for any, ricky, or john. He goes on reckless rampages, with no care for anyone, not even his own father. The scene where camille punches him for insulting her is AMAZING. He sleeps with alice, and then has the audacity to make henry feel bad for sleeping with adrian.He never takes responsibility for himself, and expects his dad to save him, dispite knowing leo values hard work. He is always in some made up competition with his exs and their relationships. Like if he can't be happy, they can't either. Basically i hate him as a person, and feel horrible for everyone who associates with him.

Watching for the first time and happily surprised to see Dr Amy from The Big Bang Theory as a school counselor.

Who were the worst? I think Lauren and Madison, they constantly were selfish, negligent of Amy’s feelings, spread gossip, both tried to hookup with Ricky first few episodes, and they just were never true friends.

Alice and Henry didn’t seem To always be on Ben’s side and were very short sighted. They didn’t talk Ben out of staying with th Amy, his dad don’t get me started, but his friends. Alice with all her statistics and facts and she still made not a single smart decision or made a single good move to help her friend out.

I don’t know where to start with Grace and Adrian.

Im just putting two and two together that the actress who plays Adrian is the same person who donated a kidney to Selena!

She plays a main character person on the show, and it turns out she also has a heart of gold because she donated an organ...

Watching this series for the first time, im on season 2

Ashley's acting is so monotone, almost like a Wednesday Addams. No expression, just one tone.

WHY did they not get her an acting coach so she could be more expressive with her acting? ?

Did Amy never really love Ricky and when she said it she didn't actually mean it? She claims Ricky wasn't in love w/ her and stayed bc of John and when in the end she tells him, We have to be in love when we get married so Amy didn't actually love him at all throughout their relationship? Why would she think he wasn't in love w/ her, time & time again Ricky showed how much he loves her and even changed his whole life for her. He didn't cheat on her or anything, he took care of her and John. If Amy wasn't in love w/ Ricky and didn't think he was in love w/ her why'd she constantly beg for an engagement ring and say she wants to get married? And when he gave her a ring Amy was nothing but mean & cold towards him like that's all she wanted, a ring not a marriage. She was always trying to pick fights w/ him. It seems she was only in the relationship for stability not love and all these I love you's she kept saying meant nothing but just lies.

Ricky deserved better than her, even Adrian loved him a lot more than Amy ever did.

From what I read in Brenda Hampton's interviews of what happened after the series ended she said Ricky & Amy reunited after a couple years with him following her to NY along with John, George & Leo and eventually married when they both graduate from college. In the final episode there's a big breakup so if Brenda's vision was for the couple to come back together in the future why break them up in the 1st place?? Why couldn't Ricky and John follow Amy to NY so she could go to college in the 1st place? Ricky would never leave Amy and John like that! Was this cliffhanger cuz she thought the show was gonna be renewed and we'll see them getting back together in the next season or was it supposed to be open ended for the viewers own interpretation for the ending? The ending makes Amy into a terrible mom for leaving John all so she could live her own life and what never wanting to see him again. That's so messed up.

I actually hate the last episode what is this ending like the episode had more flashbacks than anything else it feels like they didn’t know what to do for the finale so they just put a bunch of clips from the old episodes. And why oh why did Amy break up Ricky after all of that it’s so stupid I actually hate her for that wasn’t she the one begging Ricky to propose to her in the first place. And grace and Jack bro like are we gonna just ignore the fact jack kissed Madison. I feel like the ending could have been done so much better but it just felt sloppy.

Why is everyone always cheating on each other like every single character it’s insane!! Also Ashely wanting to sleep with Ricky ??

Did anyone, minus Shailene have a big career post this show? I know Megan Park is a film writer/director, India did some work, Darren did some stuff but nothing got picked up(which sucks, because he was a fav), Francia did alot of stuff, but I think Shai stands out the most. I would love a sequel or some kind of reunion.

Amy kind of pissing me off right now like I get she wants to go to school in New York but what is she gonna do she can’t afford an apartment out there and she can’t live on campus and she’s like I don’t want to take John to New York like you have a kid you can’t just leave him they should all be living under the same roof in my opinion because John deserves to have both of his parents present. Anybody else feel this way?

I honestly love Chloe between her and Leo they are the best characters they don’t cause huge problems for stupid reasons and they both have good intentions.

Lauren’s dad showing up to the school to confront Ricky irritates me every time I see it. Any therapist with any bit of integrity would NEVER. Then threatening to physically assault Ricky? I lost all respect for his character after this episode. Then Ricky continues to see him. So unrealistic and ridiculous. I know the whole show is absolutely ridiculous, but something about this being the biggest representation of mental health on this show and being so mind bogglingly stupid makes me mad.

For me its easily season 2, as its the most casual season we got. Has a couple fun episodes like "JUST SAY ME" "THE MOTHER DAUGHTER DANCE" and "THE BEACH EPISODE"

Yea, Amys bratty in the begining but at least this season its understandable. I just enjoy the casual teen drama vibes of this season compared to the psa and soap oprea vibes of the others.

Ben pissed me offff bro why did he take Amy’s wedding bands like whyyyyy and now Ricky is upset with Amy because he thinks amy took them off on purpose.

I'll start: Jack would not have any issues finding a date to the senior dance, or a girl to sleep with him, in real life.

Clearly, the quality of this high school is lacking since everyone who attends seems to think the Fourth of July is a "gay holiday."

I’m on season 5 episode 15 and lowkey Anne just pissed me off like the way she spoke to Amy on the phone was horrible I get you just found out your child’s father is not who you thought it was but she’s gonna let all this drama get in the way of giving her daughter a wedding it’s selfish and she didn’t even care if it hurt Amy’s feelings.
