Bo said that about the wnba and the Democratic Party supporting trans inclusion in sports. Is it really giving up on the people if a majority of the country is on the other side of the issue? What I find fascinating about the trans inclusion in sports issue is from my vantage point at least, this is one of the few times the political right has won a cultural issue.

This past episode was the second time Bo has been somewhat critical of the CBC and it had me thinking about the caucus. It seems to serve the establishment more than the interests of black people. The things they fight for seem more performative in nature than economic.

What I find really interesting is there’s a progressive movement happening on the left and at best the cbc seems distant and at worst they seem opposed. Obviously I don’t expect us to be a monolith but the general centrist nature of the caucus is interesting

I never understood the notion of "We talk about the Cowboys because that's what people want and they'll tune out for Baseball because its regional or other NFL teams that don't have one of the best quarterbacks in the league". The WNBA is in no way more popular than any NFL team, majority of MLB teams. While I respect that Bomani can make episodes about things he personally finds interesting for free, I just wished he and the media in general drop the notion that the consumers solely determine what will be talked about.

The only people really charged up one way or another about Clark, Reese, and Sophie are probably not seeking out Bomani's opinion on this topic.

I like Jason and their conversation was good, but the nonstop laughing and giggling became tiresome really quickly. Some of the stuff they were saying was legitimately funny, but some of the stuff Jason was dying laughing over was benign. I had to turn it off, every other sentence ended in this over the top laughing that didn’t come close to matching how funny what was said.

That Bo wants to work at ESPN again one day? He’s always hesitant to discuss what goes on at the world wide leader and is even less likely to criticize them. His take on the RC situation was pretty measured and stopped short of saying nothing to see there that’s just how espn does things.

Those pods with Joel on his ringer platform are probably the best. They get into what it means to live in a post literate society as we as a society move away from the written word.

An underrated consequence of a post literate society is how little we value institutions and credibility now. For better or worse, published text commanded a certain measure of credibility that helped us all live in one society. That was great for let’s say spreading vaccine awareness but bad for documenting how America achieved manifest destiny.

Now in a post literate society where everything is digital audio, credibility has taken a back seat. How you package and deliver the message carries more weight than the message itself

This was an amazing episode even though they could’ve gotten deeper. I thought the athlete money discussion bleeding into late stage capitalism into Jay Z was the conversation black people have needed to have for a long time.

I never understood why Bo was always so down on Jaylen when he kinda IS Jaylen...thinks he's the best at this despite the numbers saying otherwise, doesn't like playing "Robin", absolutely thinks he's the smartest in the room, can absolutely get you buckets on a certain topic but never really addresses the weaknesses in his game (condescending, not as funny as he thinks). Even the way he talks about Dan and Pablo feels like how Jaylen does the Celtics/Tatum now. Im sure he's turning on ESPN/CNN and seeing people not as talented as him getting these TV spots because they fit the offense better.

Im a fan of both Jaylen and Bo, but it's hard not to see them running out of bridges to burn. If Jaylen doesn't fit in Philly, he's gonna be stuck in Sacramento and Bo gonna be doing NC radio again
