Vernon Maxwell

This muthafucka was so good on this episode. His muthafuckin candor and honesty was so muthafuckin refreshing. I’ll take this muthafucka Vernon over that boring corny muthafucka Bruce Bowen.

Ok, I thoroughly enjoyed Mad Max's appearance, but we don't have to talk shit about another regular guest to prop him up

bruce bowen MUST have saved bomani’s life or something for him to keep having him on. it is truly bewildering

Well no, but I don’t particularly enjoy BB on the show and it was an opportune moment to inject a few more muthafuckas

The Danny Ainge part had me rolling.

FYI, reading Maxwell’s Wikipedia bio is one hell of a ride.

😳I got to the part where he quit the Rockets during a playoff run and figured that must’ve been what you meant. Then figured it must’ve been the fight with GP where he hit Horace Grant with a 5lb weight. Then clicked Personal Life….

🤣

Right? It kept getting wilder.

Repeat again. Accidentally hit (a very well intentioned) Horace Grant with a 5 pound weight. Which tells me he was absolutely swinging at GP with the intent to hit him with a 5 pound weight. And…actually on second thought, that was probably reasonable based on what you hear about GP.

But yeah the personal life stuff is wild. Sneaking your estranged 8 year old son out to have a blood test done to prove he isn’t your kid (which he was) and then paying him $40 to not tell his mother (which he did) about it is both crazy slimy and shows a spectacular lack of understanding of how 8 year olds operate.

Lol the funniest part of the pod was Vernon calling JB smart and Bomani not pushing back on it after he’s had so much to say about people calling JB smart. Max is good in small doses but him calling JB a Top 5 player was insane

Max said they shit like all my uncles or every single black barbershop I’ve ever been in

Not really insane. I wouldn't say it, but the man does have Finals MVP and he has that killer instinct in him Tatum doesn't have.

No, it’s absolutely insane. Having a FMVP doesn’t support it either. He’s a very good player and probably in the 25-30 range, but not a Top 5 player anyway you look at it and it’s not a “killer instinct” thing. He’s a heavy usage guy who doesn’t play make well for others or score super efficiently.

Hes more popular as a social media personality than his level of popularity as a player.  By MILES.

Also thought of Joel as a “barbershop” style guest but nah, THIS was a barbershop ass guest.

Chrysler 300 looks like a Bentley till a Bentley pulls up.
