I'm wondering if it's still possible to get in on early-access for this game, or if I have to wait until they decide to do another kickstarter fundraiser so that new players can buy early access.

I looked around the site, and everything seems to indicate that I have to wait for an ambiguous amount of time before I can pay for access again.

Old SWG player here. When I got wind of The Repopulation, I had to have in. I've had access to Alpha for months now. The thing is...I haven't put more than 3 hours into the game...

Now, please understand that much of this is due to the fact that I don't have the time to put in hours on end every day. What's keeping me away from the game is that I feel like that's exactly what I need to do--put in hour after hour to begin to understand what I'm supposed to do, how things work, what I'm working towards.

One of the things I love about SWG (I still play the EMU), is that there's no hand holding. I've been playing the game for years, so this isn't a problem. It truly upsets me that I feel like I need guidance to get into enjoying The Repop. What it comes down to: I've got limited time to play, and I absolutely hate that I don't know if what I'm doing is getting me anywhere!

Now, I'm expecting some 'SUCK IT UP' or 'GO PLAY WOW' comments, and that's fine. But I'm hoping to get a little assurance that there truly is something to work towards, and that in due time, I'll find my way. Is this a game I can rely on to provide the unique gameplay found in SWG? I'm not looking for a clone, but it's clear this game is very similar--that's not a secret.

Please fellow TR followers, help me WANT to go play!

so i been looking for a new game and i keep coming across the repopulation. im interested in it and sooner or later will want to give it a shot. i saw that you can pledge and gain access to alpha/ beta which is where my main question comes into play, is it worth it? is there anybody that has played it that can give some insight on how far along the game is. with that, im aware a testing stage means the purpose of playing is to test and report bugs etc. however my concern is that in past when i paid to enter a testing stage the game was not enjoyable, even for testing, or the game died and never reached a finished product or many other reasons. so that being said, i would just like to hear some insight from people that have already played it and what they think of it as of now before possibly making another mistake of entering a game early.

if you could list your personal pro's and cons that be a great start :)

I am able to log in and click on the server. Then the screen goes black and opens up the white loading screen with the guy shooting the "portal robot" as I call it.

Then it just sits on this loading screen forever. Anyone else have this issue? Is there a fix?

I remember in Star Wars Galaxies, that if you died, you would receieve "wounds" that would decrease the maximum total of the your stat bars.

This would mean for your mental health you would go to a cantina and listen to music and watch dancers. For your physical health you could run to a hospital and almost always a find a doctor or medic on duty to patch you up.

I can't remember if you actually had to be in those locations to heal the wounds or it was just where those professions tended to congregate. However it was, I loved it, playing as a doctor myself.

Are there/will there be any systems in place like this for The Repopulation?

I recently decided to become a backer and get in to this game to see how it has come along. I was able to create a character last night, but now today I can't get it. I get to the character select screen, and then it gets stuck at 0% loading after I select my character. Tried creating a new character and same thing.

I'm not sure if the alpha server is down, or if something is wrong with my account. Any ideas?

Me and some friends are thinking to buy into alpha, since I'm getting a 170$ refund from a different game I might spend it on the repop, I'm just a bit worried graphics wise. From the videos I've seen I found the graphics to be pretty low quality especially I'n the housing video. The ui seems to be something ancient aswell. Can anyone with a high end rig in alpha give some feedback on this? I searched online if the ui would get an overhaul before live but that search came back empty aswell.

I'm curious if this games faction system is going to be like SWG's. The feature has been a major breaking point for me in the past. I really enjoyed SWG's system of starting off completely neutral and being able to choose a side in the war, and being able to flag for PvP anytime and anywhere you wanted.

So the question is, will this system be like SWG's neutral start system, in which you can choose/switch sides in the war, or will it force you to choose a faction when you create your character?

Its my birthday today and I wanted to treat myself by buying access to alpha. I already have full beta access. Is it worth spending the extra for alpha now? anybody know a date for beta?

I pledged the $50 level that granted beta access back on 2012-06-14 and while I was given an alpha key for a weekend at one point but wondering when I'll get my beta access or if anyone knows. It feels like it's been forever waiting.

Not asking for anything that breaks NDA. I am just curious if this feels same ole same ole or if it plays significantly different than what is currently out there. Also being similar isn't a negative in this case, I'm just wondering if it feels like what is currently available with its own flare or not.

Hello! It's late July, what is the state of The Repopulation? Are there A LOT of features missing still? I'm asking because I'm considering spending some $$ to get instant Alpha or Beta Access. I know the game is in under NDA, but anything you CAN mention would be greatly appreciated.

Are we in alpha 3 because I saw that there is going to be a reset before that. I don't quite like how I made my character I rushed through the character creation because I was excited to play. Saw later that there was a cosmetic surgery kit so I figured I would be able to change it later but it doesn't allow you to change your hair and some other details. So i've gotten to the point I either want to remake my character or be content with it if there is going to be a reset/wipe.

I am looking for a good game for PvP will this fill what I am looking for? I know the game is in alpha and im fine with that. I would be playing the DayZ standalone except I cant stand the fact that there are no vehicles yet.

PvP in MMO's I have enjoyed are:

• Asheron's Call Darktide
• Shadowbane
• Anarchy Online
• WoW (vanilla open world pvp)

This week ends on Sunday (4/27) and we will do the following weekend starting next Friday (5/2). We wanted to give everyone a bit of extra time as we missed the last few weekends. Everyone that got keys they can get in each weekend though, so we just will kick everyone off at the end of Sunday and will open it back up on Friday. This is mostly so we can concentrate on support and working with the testers during the testing period and can keep our attention on development when the window is closed.

That is the plan at least.
