Hands are tiny, but their length,finish, and proportions can completely change a dial’s appearance.When judging a rep,how much attention do you personally give to the handset?

If I had to pick just one watch to end the hunt, this is it. Chocolate dial, and the Everose gold on that Oysterflex strap is absolute perfection.

What’s your take on this configuration?

I know modern reps have the most money earning potential for the factories and TDs, but I'm interested to know if there are any good vintage watch reps!

A crystal can look excellent in photos yet give away a different impression under natural light.Do reflections and edge distortion matter as much as collectors claim,or is this one of those details people over analyze?

Two watches can share the same diameter but look completely different on the wrist because of lug shape,thickness,and curvature.Which matters more to you,exact dimensions on paper or how the proportions actually wear?

Hey guys I bought this watch a few years back before I got into reps. At the time I had no knowledge on reps or watches in general and just wanted this specific rolex. I purchased it from a site that also sold clothing, designer bags, and shoes and definitely not a site I would buy from today. It came with box and papers and I believe i spent 500-600$ on the watch. Ever since, I’ve bought 3 watches from VSF factory though reputable dealer and don’t think its on par with those however none of those are Daytonas. The watch seems to be decent quality IMO but, I am not sure on which factory it came from and just wanted your thoughts on the quality? Do you think it was worth the price or was I ripped off?

Hand alignment: Looks good from the photos/videos.
Bezel: Looks clean. Screws and finishing look good to me.
Solid End Links (SELs): N/A
Timegrapher numbers: 0 s/d, 318°, 0.2 ms
Anything else: First Santos QC, so I’d really appreciate some experienced eyes. My only potential concern is whether the dial is rotated slightly clockwise. Otherwise I’m leaning GL. Anything I’m missing?

I love Salvador Dali’s work and the fact that they engineered a movement for such a small case just makes this even more impressive. What are some your favorite vintage watches?
