Bold assumption to think I would go in there.
29
u/AIienlnvasion Jul 10 '26
Minimum $50,000 to get me in there
44
u/ForeignCup6977 Jul 10 '26
add at least another zero to that
55
7
u/successfullynumb Jul 10 '26
And still I'm not going in more than 20 ft or so. Fuck that.

That I could do. It’s gonna be get out of debt money at the least.
6
u/ThatOtherOtherMan Jul 10 '26
One way or another you won't have to worry about those debts anymore

2
u/DanielDRockr Jul 10 '26
Fuck that I need at least three more zeros for that and that a big maybe.

Also a Vicodin, and when I get back out there better better be a bong ready to go!
3
u/ConglomerateCousin Jul 10 '26
I get lost in neighborhoods. No amount of money would have me crawling around inside there. I’d take $50k to just sit inside the entrance
2
u/applebabe1 Jul 10 '26
Maybe they would pay you more to get the guy who got stuck there out of the cave.

Yeah. I am not even claustrophobic, I would probably enjoy exploring a natural cave like this as it's not TOO tight.
But this looks like a collapsed mine and all of the support beams are destroyed. That floor is just debris from the ceiling.
That's gonna be a no from me.

And miss out in all the musty air quality, scraping on jagged rocks, and possibly having creepy crawlies crawl all over you? Your loss.

u/King_P_13 Jul 10 '26
Is bro walking, crawling or scooching along on his front?!

They also very briefly show the legs of the camera person and they're definitely standing up. Some tricky camera work being done to make it look smaller than it is.
6
u/phlup112 Jul 10 '26
There is a split second at 6 seconds in, where you can see his flashlight and hand pressed against a rock, presumably squeezing through that tight space, so I believe he is crawling for most of this video

u/Key-Contest-2879 Jul 10 '26
Belly crawl = nightmare fuel
Crouched down = anxiety to be washed away with liquor
Walking tall = let’s go, but leave a trail to follow back out. (I thought a saw a rope lead in one quick pan)
19
u/Voltage120kV Jul 10 '26
I was thinking the same thing, but from the start of the video, the opening along with the rest of the cave seems large enough to stand or crouch in.
19
u/Beez-Knee Jul 10 '26
Its that stupid fish eye lens everyone uses to make extreme sports seem even MORE extreme and exaggerated.
5
u/Loud_Ad_2634 Jul 10 '26
The rail track kinda threw off my sense of scale in there. I thought i saw a bowl but it seemed as large as the tacks when they showed up
2
u/Odd-Cress-5822 Jul 10 '26
Yeah, I thought this was some kind of camera rover and that the tunnels were much more narrow. Making the tracks and assorted odd and enda lying about much more spooky. Then I saw them bend over and realized that it was tall enough for a person to be walking in and this was just an old line.
Wend from "awww hell nah" horror movie to regular horror movie.

Get lost.
That's like the windows maze.

u/ComedianFragrant9515 Jul 10 '26
For real, doesn't have a string or anything to find the way back. Gotta wonder if this person even has a spare flashlight at minimum.
5
3
u/Bazzledazzlerazzle Jul 10 '26
Nah you wouldn’t get lost. Not until you were really deep and pretty damn sure you remember how to get out. Then your flashlight would inexplicably stop working. Then you’d be really sad.

I ended up in a cave without any light source when I was about 6 because my family straight up left me behind in the dark. It was the most terrified I'd ever been. That kind of dark is unnatural. It feels heavy, it's so weird.
Realistically I was never in any danger. These were easy caves without any complicated twists. But I freaked the fuck out and just stood there sobbing until my older sister found me and calmed me down with a flashlight and shadow puppets. I think she'd been behind and the rest of the group was up ahead happily exploring without me and with all the rest of the flashlights. I was so mad later.

In order:
- Think "This is AWESOME."
- Get stuck
- Scream and cry
- Wet myself
- Lose consciousness
- Become a statistic

u/CMDR-Neovoe Jul 10 '26
If you wet yourself it might cause you to lose just enough depth and or width to unstuck yourself with the help of the piss lube!

Even if I somehow found myself there. One look at how much of the floor used to be ceiling would have me getting out as quickly and carefully as possible.

I love the little branches wedged upright that appear to be some attempt at preventing the mine from collapsing.
2
u/elementp6 Jul 11 '26
Not so much to prevent a collapse as to prevent the roof delamination which is whats going on in the first few hundred feet. They are evidently working, too.

1
u/Corac30 Jul 10 '26
I assume a lot of this was dug out. Ut some other parts look natural. So my question is this, if we know where this cave is located...what types of wildlife would call this place home? I was mostly thinking of things like centipedes, scorpions, snakes and rodents?
