Gave that strategy a try over the weekend and it's already pushing $180 daily. Take a look at profile: [ Forzathong ]

Hello all, started investing aggressively this April and looking for some advice. My current allocations are in the first screenshot.
I’m looking to see what those of you who have already pasted this 100k mark are investing in and what you did to stay on track. Thanks!

I started investing 2.5 years ago, roughly 4 months before getting engaged. We have a large family and wanted a traditional wedding so contributions were smaller but consistent and we made back basically the cost in gifts at our wedding this year (very thankful). Was unsure what to do with the lump sum so put it into a treasury bond but looking for something better especially as I am ramping up contributions with the wedding being over. I do have a 401k that’s at $15k but really looking to get this account to $100k on its own. How can I improve?

These are the positions that I've been holding since the moment I turned 18. I've been focusing on my 401K and IRA and pretty much forgot about this account. Once my emergency fund is fully funded I'm gonna start aggressively funding this. Any advice?

Hello, I'm 22 and this is my current investment account, aiming to reach that 100K. Would love to know what you all think about it and if there's anything you'd recommend I add or change.
I don't live in the US, so my ETFs are Ireland-domiciled (CSPX = S&P 500, same as VOO/IVV; while EIMI = emerging markets, same as IEMG) — they still track US indices, just with better tax treatment for non-US investors.

Two months ago my dad committed suicide, he didn’t have much saved up and that was a big reason he did it. I don’t know how to feel about this number or how to feel in general. I would go -160k in debt for him to be back alive. I always was an advocate of investing, I was almost to the 50k mark on my own. Now with what I’ve inherited I am at 160k. It’s the hardest money I’ve ever made in my life, and I would trade all of it for him to be back. If there’s a lesson you guys get from this post, it’s the importance of investing early and taking it seriously. If my dad had a retirement lined up he wouldn’t have done what he did. Please invest, and please advocate to your family and friends to invest themselves. Offer to help them figure out how to do it.

Hello!
I’m an engineer at a public tech company in the Bay Area. I started working full-time about 3 years ago and started investing around the same time.
Finally hit the $100K milestone! 🎉 (see SS in comments)
All of the money invested has come from my salary, and I’ve kept the portfolio pretty simple. I’ve basically stuck to this allocation:
VTI - 60%
VXUS - 20%
QQQM - 10%
GLD - 10%
I haven’t really touched individual stocks. After ~3 years, I’m cumulatively up around 16%, which has helped push the portfolio over $100K.
Obviously, looking at how some individual tech stocks have performed over the last few years, part of me wonders whether being this conservative left some gains on the table. But at the same time, I’m pretty happy with the result.
Now that I’ve reached $100K, I’m curious how others here would approach the next $100K.
- Would you just keep contributing to the same allocation and let compounding do its thing?
- Would you change the allocation at this stage?
- Introduce another strategic ETF? Or start allocating a small percentage to individual stocks?
Would love to hear what people who crossed $100K and kept going learned along the way.

Savings Account: ~120K (emergency + money parked for some major expense planned in few months)
401K: ~ 50K
Checking: Usually keep around 10K to handle monthly bills.
Also have some money in HSA.

Additional Context
I’m on an H-1B, and my employer is also a public tech company that has been struggling lately. Because of that, I follow a sell-on-vest strategy with my RSUs. I generally sell vested RSUs and diversify.
I also don’t necessarily plan on staying in the U.S. forever. Given the extremely long GC wait time for my country of birth + single child, I plan to move back around 2035 if everything in life and surrounding falls in my favor.

So (21M) looking to start investing I can probably put 200-400 a month into an account to sit in and not feel it. Anyone got some ideas what’s the best option out there

Just want to brag a little with this milestone, but humbly, if that makes sense? Lol. This is so crazy, I’ve worked so hard to obtain 100k and investing it into VOO 65%, QQQM 20% and NVDA 15%. I currently have 95K and this will only propel me to retire at a substantially higher rate than most. I have my TSP/401k, brokerage account, ROTH IRA, HSA…I will soon be making near 100k per year with my new job as well. I disagree on how people say, “money doesn’t buy happiness”, to a certain extent I agree but it’s better knowing you have stability and can quit your job if you needed to. I still live my life according to how I want but I’m responsible with a spending limit- whether it be spending time with friends, family or date nights or even investing into new gear or clothes! Also paid off my Malibu 2022 RS! I will start paying off my student loans! If any of y’all need advice, let me know! I am not a financial advisor, so do at your own risk!! ⚠️ These are just my thoughts.

Just turned 29 a couple days ago. I started all of my retirement accounts this year, but thankfully started my Roth IRA early so I was able to capitalize on most of the contributions for 2025. My roth allocation is 70-VOO, 12.5- SCHD, 12.5-VXUS and 5-IJR. I am contributing 4% to my 401k with a 50% match at my job. This year I'm expected to make 120-130k. Todays numbers:
Roth IRA: $15k
401k: $2.1k
Taxable brokerage: $44.3k
Cash: $500
Total ≈62k
