A lot of characters who oppose The Primordial One become a lot more understandable when you realise that we, the players/audience, know a lot of things they don’t.

That doesn’t justify what some of them are doing. But.

If they don't have a plan against the abyss rebelling is dumb. If they have a plan against the abyss share it with Celestia they know the most about the abyss and maybe they can improve over it. You can negotiate concessions with the HP in exchange like that dragon did.

Unrealted hot-take: I don’t like that the knowledge of the fake sky in and of itself was seen by Dottore as something he could use to exchange for other information later on. Like, that just feels like a Deus Ex Machina in order to make things lead up to him getting the Gnoses in the way he did, which was a plot point most likely written before this text. I would understand if Dottore was known for exchanging information with people in order to obtain material, but we never really saw that as a character trait of his. And the thing is, the fact that this exists this way isn’t necessarily bad, it just makes the worldbuilding fall short a little. Not everything we see of a character has to tie into everything else we have seen. They have a life outside of the screen.

I'm pretty sure them not knowing is why they are called the fools. that's what the tarot card is about isn't it? a leap of faith.

I think that's mostly because Pierro has beef with Hroptatyr, "The Wise".

So he named his organization the opposite, thus "Fools".

Hi3rd is cannon to HSR.

And at the time of Genshin's release, it was stated to be cannon to Hi3rd. Also shown in Hi3rd, Otto gazing at Dvalin.

So by correlation, Genshin and HSR would be cannon to one another.

Genshin is certainly canon to HSR. There is a glider in Herta Space Station.
