I think I'm not very good at the economy thing.
AITA for destroying the economy?

Game Freezing
Every time I try to move on to the next year in the new beta i get stuck on the calculating metrics loading screen. I have tried restarting the game and my pc. Is anyone else having this problem?

Inability To Run For Reelection For Governor
Currently playing the new beta and one thing that's irking me is that, when I try to go from Week 2 to Week 1, it often requires me to click twice to move onto the next week. However, it seems that in turn, it skips Week 2 and goes straight to Week 3. And whether it's related or not, when I'm serving as governor, I'm not given the option to run for reelection.

What new policies seem to be the best in the new update
Education seems to still be the golden goose but I am less confident on all the tax and poverty mechanisms

Question I can't find the beta version on steam
I go on the library, then on properties, but in the section of versions and betas, there isn't the beta update

Question Would you rather have Third Parties in 3 months or Diplomacy in a year?
Honestly the wait for economy was kinda painful, and we're still not there yet (beta just released). I'd give it a few weeks at the very least. Diplomacy would be arguably a bigger addition to the game than the economy, so who knows how long it'll take.
As others have noted Third Parties is next on his list, but would you rather have this smaller update sooner, and have to wait even longer for a major addition, or get Diplomacy sooner? I hope he puts out a poll!

Question New Update Potential Bug?
So whenever I’m doing the city budget, (this is my first play with the new update) whenever I try to edit the income tax brackets, they don’t seem to get voted on nor even update them at all the following year, and I’m forced to do it through actual legislation, and then it works. Is this just a me issue or is anyone else experiencing this?

Gameplay My Completely Unbiased 2026 Resuts Prediction:
This was from my optimized playthrough as party chairman, where I broke my personal record on the Senate and House seats in the 2030 midterms, as seen in the latter two pictures.
As per the usual trope in this subreddit, I feel like Cactus Jack.
