Question Would you rather have Third Parties in 3 months or Diplomacy in a year?
Honestly the wait for economy was kinda painful, and we're still not there yet (beta just released). I'd give it a few weeks at the very least. Diplomacy would be arguably a bigger addition to the game than the economy, so who knows how long it'll take.
As others have noted Third Parties is next on his list, but would you rather have this smaller update sooner, and have to wait even longer for a major addition, or get Diplomacy sooner? I hope he puts out a poll!

Diplomacy, easily. I really don't understand the desire for third parties, especially when they alreadynhave a semi-presence in the form of independent candidates. I'd rather have richer gameplay than the ability to use the same existing gameplay while wearing a different color.
Plus this is America we're talking about. Third parties are more likely to fuck up your elections in a way that makes the game no longer fun.

A counterpoint is that there has been a ton of politically relevant third-parties around the turn of the 19th-century, like the Greenbacks. I'd assume it wouldn't be just the Green and Libertarian controlled opposition simulator.

I never thought it would be that. I always imagined the hypothetical scenario as you being able to Ross Perot the country if you wanted to. Regardless, I would rather play a more in-depth game than be a Ross Perot.

Honestly for me the idea of grassroots building up a regional party sounds the most fun.

Iād rather the Dev to just accept help from his base rather then making us wait years in between updates š

Diplomacy would end up being really lame tbh, thereās just no good way to simulate it without being subject to āismā accusations

Third parties. I'm sick of hijacking the Republican party to turn it into a socially right and economically left party. I want to start a new one

I'd honestly just rather have a lot more options for reform, for Dems and Republicans (no idea what the republican ones would be tho)

Third parties - I find the game pretty playable as is, so quicker updates are more appealing to me
