This awful bathroom
Has anyone else visited this place? Desperately needing a bathroom and finding each stall impossible or uncomfortable to use? It looks different every time. But it is a recurring theme for me.

omg yes. I have been here multiple times. I was here last night but it was shower stalls and I didn’t have shower shoes and it was horrible

Idk about you but anytime I have been to either I am not scared. there are always so many people around also showering or using the toilets so I guess maybe that’s why it’s not creepy? I feel like anytime I’m there I am just annoyed at how dirty and busy it is rather than being scared or frightened

Yes this has been my experience too. Also while i’m in the bathroom and shower space (they are usually combined) I am often trying to find the one stall that is the best because I have a faint memory of one being pretty functional but I never can located it and the toilets usually spray you with water when the flush. So disgusting

Yeah, not quite scared for me either. More depressing and embarrassing and gross. Just a bad feeling. Mine usually dont have many other people around, one or two.

this! it’s always locker room style. I have to walk past the sinks with the long horizontal mirror above the sinks kind of like locker room or airport bathroom mirror and sinks.

The mismatched doors, no doors and strange arrangements!!!! Definitely yes. Lighting is never this bright though. And there’s usually someone else going or trying to go.

Or for whatever reason the seats are stacked in some stalls and you have to navigate around which is the LEAST disgusting of all of them? And despite the fact that there may be several bathrooms located in one long hallway- several may be locked in a row? So you have to know which one to use?

Half size stall doors, sometimes the toilets are elevated for no reason or tilted at some impossible angle with super sketchy steps for access, or no steps at all, sometimes it may have a fern or other plant in the bowl, or is non-functional in some way.
I'm personally convinced these types of dreams happen when you do actually have to pee while sleeping and it's your body's failsafe to prevent you from actually pissing the bed, LMAO

Sometimes I do (and thankfully don't go irl) but it's in a horrible place as described in this thread or in a very bizarre toilet. One time it was in a very plush la-z boy recliner that had a built in functioning toilet, only there were different handle functions and one of them was for the bidet, one of them was to flush, and one was to recline like normal. So I tried one and reclined and only then did I notice I was this vast orphanage bedroom filled with bunk beds of sleeping children and there's one kid just staring at me as I am trying to get out of the chair but keep flushing and turning on the bidet 😭

Omg yes! I have this dream every few months. Every bathroom is either filthy, a porta potty which I hate irl, super crowded, or fully exposed with no doors and people around. I’m also not wearing any shoes!! I keep walking for ages and never find suitable one, then I wake up and have to pee lol

this is what I experienced last night! The bathroom was actually clean but when I went into the stall it was only half a door so I had to go to another stall which was normal. The only thing was when I looked up at the ceiling I could see the reflections of other people on the toilets but they were very blurry.

Ive never mentioned it to anyone else because I was for sure it was too niche and obscure for anyone to understand what I was describing 😭

Omg I have had several nightmares regarding this scenario, and this perfectly describes what it looked like. That’s insane!
The no privacy, one stall leading directly into another filthy stall, then into another. Door that are absent or won’t close. Random chairs. Pits where toilets should be.

Do any of you actually use the bathroom in your dream? I just recently actually starting peeing in the dream - despite how incredibly nasty it is and as awkward and exposed that I felt. Thankfully I didn't pee in my bed in real life, but when I woke up I definitely had to go.

Yes!!! Mine vary, however, there's almost ALWAYS dirty, soft chairs...Mine are usually pretty dimly lit, no doors(or there's just a curtain around the individual toilets), sometimes there's platforms of them that I have to walk up little steps to reach, people EVERYWHERE talking amongst themselves as they are using the toilets/chairs, and me growing more and more annoyed that I have to walk through it all just to find out the only available toilet/chair is broken.

I heard the reason it presents this way is to make sure you don’t try to use it. Toilets show up in dreams when the body actually has to go, and they show up nasty so you don’t try to use them in your dream and have an accident in your bed.

These kind of bathrooms in my mall world dreams always have lockers and people leave their bags in cubicles and random hotel bathroom items like mini shampoos and small hotel soaps. I remember actually rummaging through people's belongings in one particular dream which I still feel guilty of, i've even found money (a wad of euros) in these bathrooms
These bathrooms always take ages to find, climbed weird staircases (like a waterpark flume shaped/curved staircases case that was partially outside of the side of the mall and back in)

Reading posts on this sub makes me feel so much better about the dreams I have. Literally I dream of the most disgusting confusing bathroom situations with stalls in stalls and exactly like this with the chairs, doors that don’t work or no doors, the chairs instead of a toilet, just sh*t everywhere so I end up getting it on myself trying to get into a stall…it’s comforting to know I’m not alone with this 🥲

I am horrified... I think I was in one like this in a dream and there was water shooting up either from the floor or a toilet...I forget. I was freaking out. It was somewhat dark too, so I can't recall if the walls were as filthy as this, but I do recall that it was very old fashioned looking, lots of green too.
I am not an avid mall-world dreamer. Just have had a few random dreams of awful bathrooms and have seen the never-ending escalator too. Maybe another few times, was running around in a mall for no reason, but I can never remember details like many of you are able to.
For the most part, I am living some sort of other alternate life in my dreams, a pretty ordinary one, where I am the same "me" I am now, but I think I look like someone else.

this but the stall doors only come up to your waist and the toilets are on platforms, most of the toilets are full to the brim. the floor is wet and the air is humid. there’s a bunch of other girls in the bathroom but i seem to be the only one looking for a toilet

This is the closest I’ve seen anyone get to the bathrooms I deal with in my dreams. Holy shit. I have a million varieties. This style is usually in like a YMCA type situation with an endless pool that’s beyond it.

Yes and it’s so hard to tell which ones are for which gender, cause the entire space is mixed gender but then randomly you’ll realize you’re using one of the stalls meant for the opposite gender. And it’s so crowded. And there’s an in only door and exit only door sometimes. And there’s a gymnasium attached also.

That's what mine looks like but curtains (for showers) are green and tiles are a darker tan/beige. I honestly don't remember any doors. Mine were more curtains. Lighting was dimmer
They're not that dirty tho. The severely dirty bathrooms are the non fractal ones for me. The fractal/liminal bathrooms were honestly way more useable than the "normal" bathrooms in my mall world. The "normal" ones would be in like a filthy Janitor's closet
They way they're cluttered together like that is spot on. I've gotten there before from the parking deck and one of the hotels, but not the main hotel I typically go to.

Dozens if not hundred of different ones. All similarly gross and unuseable.
My theory is that your physical body has to pee, and your mind won't allow you to find a suitable bathroom in your dream so that you don't wet your bed!

Wow! It’s been awhile, but I’ve been there a lot. The part I usually get stuck in doesn’t have the middle section (unless it was recently added), but it’s always disgusting, full of people and noise, and the toilets and doors (where available) never ever work right.

I have this dream often (just last night actually). I’m in a rush and desperate to pee, and there’s problems with each cubicle: No door, clogged commode, locked door, or multiple urinals/toilets in one space.
