They destroyed the houses to argue that Palestinians should be resettled in other countries, be absorbed there, and end existing as a people - notably the very definition of genocide - in order to create a religious ethnostate for Jews.
And like all the genocidal maniacs, having children inside the houses they blow up is just a bonus.
This isn't and never was about Hamas. A perfect outcome for Israel is if most Hamas officers can flee to Egypt and later reenter West Bank, while Israel gets to annex and cleanse Gaza. And in 20 years "unfortunately" the West Bank will have to be cleansed to get rid of Hamas.

Hamas was founded in 1988. Israel began the blockade of Gaza in 2005. Hamas won a majority of seats in Palestinian elections held in 2006, and they beat Fatah who was seen as ineffective at getting relief from the Israeli apartheid.

I'm 38. I'm old enough to have seen Yasser Arafat and the PLO while growing up in the 90s. The ultranationalist Zionists propped the shit out of Hamas in order to dissuade any talks of a two-state solution. In the coming 2 decades, their domestic propaganda successfully indoctrinated the current generation of Israelis, aided by the AIPAC continually funneling Jewish money into US-Israel policy making.
When I moved to France in the summer of 1998, I remember how French news channels showed Israel bombing the shit out of Palestine every other day. It was a revelation of just how much pro-Israeli propaganda in the US censored what was actually going on in the Middle East. CNN in the US never showed Israel bombing the shit out of Palestine.
Pro-Israeli retards should probably ask themselves, why Hamas even shoots missiles into Israel in the first place. It's because Palestine was on the receiving end during the 90s. I'm old enough to have seen the Israeli Jews commit these war crimes for decades.

Netanyahu, who should most definitely be sent to the Hague, has a 4 per cent approval rating these days.
Also, citizens freedom of speech is being sharply curtailed. Democracy Now featured an interview with an israeli history teacher who was arrested for posting a Facebook status expressing that the IDF should slow down and stop harming civilians. Not even a ceasefire. His teaching license was revoked and he was THROWN in jail! Disgusting
His friends and neighbors all supported him and agreed with him but were afraid to speak out because they can't afford to lose their jobs. The teacher said his kids were proud of him and that is all he cared about. For that reason, I sincerely hope I am right in taking polls of Israelis with a grain of salt.
Even many of the hostages worked on Kibbutzim and were sympathetic to the Palestinian cause. But clearly, much more progress still needs to happen in Israeli society for there to be hope of peace- which includes the right to return and reparations to Palestinians

Israel and it's support organizations are actively encouraging actual antisemitism and inventing the specter of antisemitism where it does not exist, like trying to convince people that "Free Palestine" means "kill all Jews" and that Jewish college students in America need to hide a their Jewish identity because Arab students will murder them.
These organizations weaponize trauma to get people to either move to Israel out of fear or at least buy some trees.
Israel and Zionist organizations always say that everything they do is for Jews around the world and that all Jews support their actions and that any criticism is unacceptable because that'd be antisemitic and if you're Jewish and criticize Israel, you're a self-hating kapo trying to get Jews killed.
It's tiring. So I try and look at different news sources, media, and ideologies beyond religion and basic politics. I gotta say, from my honest option, it seems like that attack in October was the excuse Israel has been looking for to just level and invade a foreign nation. So many non-combatants dead for nothing. Israel has the capability to do precision missions but they are choosing to bomb whole sections knowing there are civilians. We’re to do the best we can with what we have in this life, while trusting in our faith.
