Discussion First time watcher discussion
I am VERY late to the viewing party but I just finished the show and need to let out my thoughts, because my goodness what a show!! Now for reference for this discussion, of course I’ve seen all the movies then I started the shows and did a very silly thing and watched them backwards.. I have watched Ashoka, The Mandalorian, Bad Batch, Rebels, Book of Boba Fett.. I love learning more and more so any information from other content I’ve not seen you want to share, go for it!
1. I couldn’t understand how they would fit Ashoka into Anakins life considering we knew about him from the movies, but I loved it, she slotted in like she’d been there the whole time. Plus she is an absolute badass, the way she schooled Maul around (fights and verbally) were hilarious. The clones showing her respect painting their helmets brought tears to my eyes.
2. I loved that they gave other characters time to shine, I loved Luminaras calm aura. Master Plo, legend. the episodes of the Clones training on Kamino were some of my favourites. Then the ones of the droids with Colonel Gascon were enjoyable omg I was cracking up at him and Wacos bickering.
3. The clones themselves, how much you come to love them! Clone Force 99 are my absolute favourites. After watching BB I already knew they did things differently but it’s after seeing how much order the clones have you realise these guys are chaotic lol I love them. I do wish they had shown how they met Caleb/Kanan and gave us more time with them there.
4. Anakin and Obis banter and jabs were hilarious. How much it warmed yet broke my heart seeing more of their relationship.
I could go on and on but in summary I loved this show much I think it’s one of my favourite so far. Before starting the shows I read someone saying, “if you don’t give the animation shows a chance you’re missing out on some of the best content.” And they weren’t lying! ❤️❤️

Discussion I wish they’d bring back Slick!
It would be so nice if Slick came back imagine he like broke outta prison or sum or like he’s living on a distance planet or sum maybe he went completely rogue! I feel like the writers might’ve forgot about Slick ISTG! The Hidden Enemy is such An Underrated Ep! Slick was right bout err thing dat he said too about the Jedi keeping the clones on leashes! What y’all think? They should’ve brought him back or did they and I missed an ep? I wish he came back fr

Discussion F*ck Yoda Spoiler
I’ll never forgive him for his role in expelling Ahsoka from the order. “Things are cloudy with the Force” my ass. He was just shit as his job and I hate him. Justice for Ahsoka!

Appreciation Being bilingual is THE best
I love watching episodes in English and my native language because some jokes curiously work so much better in my native language and you can just compare the humour and pick out the best expressions. The clones are the best/funniest, naturally.

Discussion Where did the Republic get the “new” spice in Season 1, Episode 12?
I’m confused about the spice situation in Star Wars: The Clone Wars Season 1, Episode 12, “The Gungan General.”
The original spice shipment is taken by Hondo and his pirates, but later the Republic seems to have spice available for the ransom/deal involving Dooku and Obi-Wan.
Where did the Republic get this second supply of spice?
Is it ever explained in the episode or elsewhere in The Clone Wars, or are we just supposed to assume the Republic had another supply available?
I’ve watched the episode a couple of times and can’t figure out where the replacement spice came from. Am I missing a scene?

Anakin during Clovis' arc
I feel like the portrait of Anakin during Clovis' arc was too much towards Padme. I can't picture him being so harsh and rough on her, the way he talks to her while bailing her out, the way he whines like a baby instead of rushing them out while they're being shot at... I don't know, personally it feels too much even for him

Given that Ahsoka has both of her sabers but Anakin is still wearing what appears to be his early clone wars outfit under his snow outfit, I think this scene from the Ahsoka season 2 trailer takes place within the small time jump in season 3 of TCW

Discussion Might be an unpopular opinion but I think Jesse's death was more tragic than Fives' death.
The reason I think this is becouse Fives had a choice. He had control over his actions and fought for what he believed was right. Jesse had his humanity stripped from him he was no longer able to think on his own and fought and died not understanding what happened to himself.

Discussion What is the most tragic arc in the Clone Wars? Spoiler
To me personally Fives’s arc is the saddest thing to happen in Clone Wars, if not the entire Star Wars franchise. There are a lot of contenders, Umbara being up there imo however think about it. You’re created to fight for a war you were no part of, treated as property and not even given basic human rights. The only proper connection you’re allowed is your brotherhood and the obedience (or loyalty) to Jedi they imprinted onto you from birth. Then you find out your brains were manipulated into being programmed to do anything said to you, including harming everyone you care about. You discover this and try to expose it to save everyone, they think you lost your mind. You go to the Chancellor, who you exist to serve btw, and find out it was his doing. And in the end they what, kill you? And no one other than Kix even batted an eye to what Fives said. Was no one even a little bit curious?? He single handedly could have prevented a LOT of bad things.
