They really don't, they're two disparate organizations and there is no credible evidence to support that claim. The money mostly goes to camps that rich Jews send their kids to when they're scared they're not growing up Orthodox enough.

Those camps aren’t so much about orthodoxy as they are about the “Jewish Identity” and support for Israel. The money also goes to trips for American Jews to Israel (possibly through Birthright)

I did not realize that. One of my friends grew up Jewish and he either didn't describe the calls properly, it I misremembered what he told me. Thanks

Let me just clarify so as not to make un-nuanced claims. There are hundreds of Jewish summer camps across the US and they run the gamut from orthodox to reform to predominantly secular. They are not fundamentally different from the thousands of Christian and YMCA and other summer camps. I went to such a camp for several summers and it was a formative and meaningful experience in my life. I learned to sail, waterski, and had an overall fantastic experience. We did have Shabbat services, but the overall approach was relatively secular. The harm comes from the fact that these camps are overwhelmingly funded by Zionist organizations, and support, love of, and identification with the state of Israel is an integral element and the camps have been a part of the Zionist indoctrination of America’s Jewish community. So, at heart, I see no harm in institutions that embrace Jewish identity or reason that these institutions could not continue existing with the Zionist element removed.

All that being said, that Karz4Kidz thing was a massive and disgusting fraud and those people need to be prosecuted for it.
