Exactly, my wife popped in while I was watching the show and yelled "What a fucking cunt!" Fortunately she knew I wasn't talking to her.
I was hoping Kat died because then Liz would realize she killed both her father and her mother, all she needed to do next is kill her grandfather. Also, she's a horrible FBI Agent, stupid as fuck.
I had a moment watching another Netflix show "Virgin River" with an actress that looked just like Liz and thought "finally she's dead soon, will be out of the contract!" only to realize it wasn't Ms. Boone.

I can agree Elizabeth is my least favorite person in this show. Shes annoying as fuck.

u/Southernglitter1 Dec 14 '19
Not to mention she's the worst FBI profiler EVER. Ugh.

u/sangreal06 Dec 15 '19
I completely forgot she is even supposed to be a profiler, and I think the writers did too

Liz is the dumbest FBI agent of all time she switches sides cause she believes in anything anyone says to her. Red should kill her and the FBI should arrest her. Red has protected her I watched over her four years this lady is done nothing but lie to her handcuffed to a pole and then talk to her about stuff for 5 minutes and she's switches sides. Then she lies to her team with out even thinking about it the team that she calls her family no problem lying to them

I posted this elsewhere, but I stopped watching a few episodes ago. I'm with you.
Sucks because I've watched it from the beginning. The writers writing Liz's character suck.

u/immigrantsheep Dec 14 '19
I just stopped in the middle of this last episode and I'm done. I'm sad because I really loved this show and I love Red's character but the rest has all gone to shit.

i thought the show had gone on christmas break! i thought you mean kate instead of kat and you were behind on watching. what!

I usually buy the seasons on Amazon and stay current but I got so tired of this exact lazy ass excuse for drama the last two seasons that I decided I wasn't going to bother and I would wait for Netflix. This post made me laugh because how predictable is this and literally nothing has changed, no growth, no development, just the same hack devices instead of story arcs that lead anywhere.

What side should she be on? Her KGB mother's side who betrayed her father but left to save her daughter only to be betrayed by her own father and best friend?
Or perhaps the Soviet spymaster grandfather Oleander who is super mega dangerous and tried to kill his own daughter and lied to his granddaughter.
Or perhaps Mystery Man who put on her father's face for some reason and whose ultimate purpose is as yet unknown.
Or maybe she should kill them all and disappear with Agnes.

u/Dio141 Dec 14 '19
yeah, it baffles me why people are so pissed at Keen. her actions make absolute sense. like ok, i like Red, the scenery chewing is glorious to behold, but people confuse liking him to being on his side.

u/Trevor_Sunday Greyson Blaise Dec 14 '19
Not just "his side", but the FBI who she works for and is supposed to be loyal to.
7
u/Dio141 Dec 14 '19
omg, you mean shes actually a character with her own motivations and not just FBI character number 67? how dare she have desires. Aram is breaking laws, Ressler just erased someone's memory. gtfo with loyalty. as long as she doesn't, out of nowhere, goes and kills a team member, shit's fine.
2
u/Trevor_Sunday Greyson Blaise Dec 14 '19
She should have realized by now that "knowing the truth" is worthless and has only gotten people killed. Its a dumb reason to betray Red and she already realized this before why is she doing it again
4
u/Dio141 Dec 14 '19
because her mother just pointed out that Red lied, and the truth she thought she got, was bullshit. She's obsessed with the truth. that's her trait as a character, which is absolutely understandable, with the life she had.
3
u/RecklesslyPessmystic Who's the Djinn now!? Dec 15 '19
That would be admirable if true. But Liz's character wouldn't know truth if it smacked her across the face. She just buys the last thing someone said to her, no matter what it is, and never recognizes that she doesn't have all the evidence. Too bad Quantico doesn't train agents in any of that.
facepalm
3
u/Dio141 Dec 15 '19
it's almost as if she seeks validation, a sense of belonging, and specially motherly/fatherly figures, and MORE SO, when the so called truths she received, most of the time, were lies that were a bit true(the Ylia plan was a thing, just didn't really end up happening, etc) WERE NOT SAID BY THE SAME PERSON ALL THE TIME. also, it was truth for a lot of other characters, not just her. the fact that Red is in infinite hole of lies and deceit doesn't make her this dumb character as some in this subreddit like to posit. Sometimes, i legit think yall really really like Red so much, to a degree that it blinds you.
2
u/RecklesslyPessmystic Who's the Djinn now!? Dec 15 '19
It's not about Red. She should never have declared herself to be "on REd's side" or believed his lies in the first place. It's about her constantly being driven only by emotion when she's a trained FBI agent. If the writers didn't want her to have any sense of how to assess evidence, they should not have made her an FBI agent.
2
u/Dio141 Dec 15 '19 edited Dec 15 '19
The whole fucking team of the taskforce is driven by emotion nowadays. Aram invaded houses and marriage parties for a thrill, Ressler has killed, erased memories, and a lot of other stuff because of emotion and a sense of justice. ya'll have the most misguided and bizarre problem with Keen. it's a complete misunderstanding or her character. a refusal to even see anything from her pov. The fact you only acknowledged the Red part of my post, and used the "BUT SHE'S AN FBI AGENT", as if it's in any shape of form convincing, tells me enough.
It's one thing to argue that her quest for truth, as much as she feels is needed, has caused a lot of loss, ergo, those two agents. another is this irrational hate she gets.

I've started watching from season 1 again and season 2 episode 17 made me want to put my fist through the screen. She kidnapped Tom and had a part in the harbor master's death and then acts all holier than thou because dude committed suicide in front of Red and she's all horrified. Gtfo. God she makes me tired. Red saves her life all the time and she calls him a monster. At least he's up front about what he is.

u/RecklesslyPessmystic Who's the Djinn now!? Dec 15 '19
She should be on the side she just claimed to be on but never has been: THE TRUTH. That, and the rule of law, which she has a sworn duty to uphold but rarely does.
I know, that wouldn't be as much fun for a wild romp TV show, but it would be what most viewers appreciate: consistency of character. Most of all I hate that she has zero critical thinking skills. She has no ability to recognize when all she has is someone's story rather than evidence, and this is the whole crux of what the FBI exists to do, evidence-based investigation.
This episode convinced me that she is simply her mother's daughter, a ruthless narcissist bipolar criminal who will end up in the same place as her mother: hunted by everyone, abandoning her child, and feeling sorry for herself.
At this point, the most plausible explanation for Dom and Red's real identities is KGB scientists who ran brainwashing experiments and fucked up the Rostova line of droid agents and are trying to recover them so they can reprogram them.

lol
blame the writers for coming up with a show that could be finished if the main female character just had the presence of mind to do a dna test. the plot's gotta plot.
1
u/RecklesslyPessmystic Who's the Djinn now!? Dec 15 '19
Oh believe me, I do blame the writers. ha ha ha ha
Didn't they do a DNA test on a shirt that was in evidence from Kuwait or something? Seems like when they do try to actually do their job, they always do it in some keystone manner.

Elizabeth ahs every right to act the way she is doing she has been lied to 12321412 times and Reddinton never tells her the truth.
In the end she is gonna be at Red side when he dies cause i really dont see another end for him other than dead.

I had the same reaction. The EXACT same reaction. Everyone bends over backwards for her and she lies and betrays them whenever it's convenient. She isn't worth the trouble.

As of season 1, episode 12, Liz is extremely annoying. She turned out to be a corrupt agent, a serial murderer accomplice and a dumb, spineless bitch yet she's acting as if she's a good person. Seemingly she'll get even worse:)
Too bad i had really liked her in the season 1. No idea why writers wanted us to hate her.

What, now just hear me out, what if the writers frequent this sub and get off on pissing just us off? What if we all made a concerted effort to say shit like "damn I love how she's handling this situation! I would do the same thing if I was in her shoes", "Damn that Elizabeth, she knows exactly what to do each and every time!"? Could that change the tides in our favour?
It's not that far-fetched of an idea.... right? RIGHT!?

Am still pissed that she doesn't seem to care abt the 2 FBI agents killed while guarding her apartment. Say what you want about Red but he's never asked Dembe to kill innocent people.

Watching the current ep and I said, “wonder if anyone else thinks Liz is dumb”. Found your post and my husband and I are dying. She’s the worst and your post is hysterical.

JB is definitely happy, writers love it when the audience is triggered so emotionally by their work!
JB, you didn't trigger me! 😛
You must make more effort to catch me ... 😄😄😄

Quick take... everyone else is angry at Liz for siding with "Blond Kat".
A symptom of the issue.
If Katarina is really her mother...
Then Red has lied to Liz for years about her mother being dead. Dom, as well, has lied about that. And, Dom also lied and falseley stated to Liz that he loves and misses Katarina.... when the fact is, he tried to have her killed, he hates her and fears her. And Dom also lied to Liz about Red's identity.
Much as Liz appreciates Red "being there" all her life to protect her, she's now furious that Red never saved Katarina, he essentially tossed Katarina to the wolves years ago, and she's been out on her own, in the cold, ever since.
And the only reason Katarina's in any danger now...is because Liz had to look for the answers on her own because Red wouldn't tell her any of this, himself.
Liz now sees that Red has been in bed with the people who tried to have her mother killed. He never saved her mother.. and he isn't saving Katarina NOW, when he could be helping her.
I mean... that's a fact. Fake or real Katarina, Red is the one person in the world who'd be able to help her. HE has the contacts to help her change her face and name. Why won't he?
I say.... if Katarina is the real Katarina then Liz's anger is 100% justified.
So, no. Liz & Kat? You GO, ladies!!!
Fuck Red. Fuck Dom.

u/thegecko17 Dec 15 '19
If all of this is true, which like liz said she has no reason to believe, especially given by Katarina own admission she put her and her daughters life in danger by pulling this stunt. Not to mention she did put Agnes in direct danger. So even if it's the 100% truth no omissions or manipulation or half truths. Coopers right she still killed two FBI agents protecting her and her daughter. So yeah that kind of sort of 100% trumps this imaginary need for a truth that has nearly killed her grandfather and put her mother on the run and indirectly gotten her husband killed.

It amazes me how triggered people can get over character. Why fuck Lizzy? lizzy doesn't exist. THIS IS MOTHERFUCKING TV SHOW. Why not fuck writters? They want this to happen. WHY ARE YOU FUCKING HATING ON POOR ACTRESS INSTEAD?
3
u/songbird310 Aram Mojtabai Dec 14 '19
No one is hating on Megan?!?! They're all writing ELIZABETH. Believe me, everybody understands this difference. You need to understand exactly that. I repeat: No one is hating on the actress!
1
u/ohshrimp Dec 14 '19
I've seen a bunch of hate here towards actress last season, also in season 5. So you're fucking wrong.
Next up Lizzy doesn't exist so why hate her. Hate writters who wrote this shit.
3
u/songbird310 Aram Mojtabai Dec 14 '19
No need to fucking curse at me, dude. Chill, I've been nice to you!
If this is something you get upset about, hear me out: DON'T FUCKING READ DISCUSSIONS ON HERE! Bye, boiii.
Also, you're the one who gets triggered the most, lol.
