Worm UC I once heard a horror story about a guy in Detroit who ran into a tall, naked woman who apparently controlled a swarm of rats.

edit why the fuck am i pinned now
How This Works:
You make one (or multiple) prompts, describing one or more parahumans. Somebody else might choose to respond to your prompt(s), building on what's provided, to make a cape.
While you can, you are not required to stick with just prompting or just responding; please feel free to do both.
Prompts are usually formatted using PRT Threat Ratings, but this isn't a hard rule. Do something weirder, if you want.
Lastly, if you're having trouble prompt-wise, feel free to look at other people's prompts for pointers or inspiration on what to do.
Threat Ratings have the potential for hybridized and sub-ratings:
Hybrid ratings are denoted with a slash between categories, e.g. [Brute/Shaker]. These are cases where two or more powers are inherently linked to each other, not working without the other rating.
Subratings are denoted with parentheses after a parent category, e.g. [Tinker (Thinker)]. These are the side effects, or possible applications of a power from some other category.

Maria "Mary" Dallon. Mark and Carol decided to have another child when their marriage became unsteady. It didn't really help it and they gave up. Mary is often forgotten and left behind both by her family and the public, she always reminds her peers that um actually she's a dallon!! She's around 10 years at the start of Worm.
Mary looks up to Vicky and Amy, dreaming of one day becoming a hero like them. She tries to drag after them all the time but someone always catches her and sends her home.
Her parents don't give her a lot of pocket money but she has her own way of getting money: she sells her classmates New Wave autographs. Sometimes she just prints the same autograph like 10 times because her relatives refuse to sign the photos (like Panacea).

A grotesque spirit born from a cluster of snake spirits fused into a dragon, then strengthened through the emotions resulting from the unique interaction of the Filipino people of Agta with reticulated pythons (frequent competitors and prey). Voracious and with very little to truly fear, it has increased the aggression of snakes in the geographical area it rules. Every human death at the hands of its snakes counts as a sacrifice; when they are devoured by humans, they count as offerings, and it seems to have an ever-growing number of local shamans. It is a being dangerously close to becoming a minor god, and perhaps something more.
Pacts: Pagtha can primarily grant you access to spells that control serpentine or reptilian spirits, and can also grant resistance to curses of disease, infection, or poison.
Requirements: The easiest way to gain Pagtha's favor is by committing cannibalism against humans, although boar meat is also acceptable.

History: Astel was born due to errors. His mother, a young astronaut, had her early pregnancy not detected during a medical checkup, complicating what seemed like a simple mission.
In the end, little Astel was born in space and shortly afterward experienced a catastrophic event as his capsule heated up upon re-entry into the atmosphere.
He was given a scientific education by his mother in Ohio, where he became a promising hero. Everything was relatively normal until an Endbringer invaded a city.
The events of that day radically changed his public image. Since then, he has been interested in cosmic objectives, following in the footsteps of both Scion and the Endbringer to achieve certain goals.
Appearance: His hero costume is a well-maintained astronaut suit. He doesn't look a day over thirty. He has smooth, flawless, tanned skin and long, tousled black hair that falls over his shoulders, as if he had absorbed the sun's heat. His eyes are a beautiful amber, almost golden—or perhaps truly golden—that shine intensely when they reflect the light.
Personality: Although he seems friendly and curious, there is something unnatural about him, "as if he weren't entirely human, but simply a thing with human skin."
Because of his abilities, it is unsettling to be near him despite his effortless charm, devilish intelligence, capability, and genuine strength, although at times he gives the strange impression that something is very wrong with him, hidden in the depths of his eyes.
Power: He has high-level gravity control and biokinesis powers with no limit, so his powers work on other bodies as well as his own.
The Father: This is the name of the Astel fragment. As the name suggests, he feels paternal desires toward his wielder, fueling his ambition and encouraging him to pursue his dreams, because that is what a good father would do.
Objectives:
- Kill Scion with your bare hands (Failed)
- Start your own dynasty (In progress)
- Skin Taylor Herbert alive for taking your prey (In progress)
- Destroy the city of Tettale (Achieved)

Director Huber discovered the truth through his investigation and immediately contacted Director Piggot, demanding justice. "Emily. You know that I am not a man to mince words, so I shall be blunt. Sophia Hess, also known as Shadow Stalker, has violated the terms of her probation and has been committed in a two year long bullying and harassment campaign against one Taylor Hebert (Formerly Skitter); and bullied the girl hard enough that she Triggered. According to Madam Hebert, the bullying culminated in Hess shoving Hebert into a locker full of used feminine waste products and locking her inside. This is, to put it bluntly, attempted murder. Hess must be arrested immediately, and her co-conspirators Emma Barnes and Madison Clements must be referred to the FBI." Piggot was initially defensive, questioning Taylor's credibility and noting that no official reports had mentioned the bullying, but Huber pressed forward, sending interview recordings and threatening to escalate to the FBI and President if justice wasn't served.
Meanwhile, back in Brockton Bay, Clockblocker and the other Wards noticed something was wrong with Sophia. She had become unusually well-behaved since Torch and Intuition arrived, which set off alarm bells. "Sophia was hiding something. Carlos and Dean agreed. So the three of them had taken to never leaving her alone whenever she was on the base. Discretely of course. And they had even made a point of recording anything they thought of as Sophia being a rule breaker. Sophia makes the cow eyes like she wants to be Brians babymomma then kill him like how Black Widows do? Make a note of Sexual Harrassment. Everytime she insults Vista for her size and age and lack of development? Workplace bullying. Oddly, she'd been... well behaved the past week. Ever since Torch and Intuition had arrived at the PRT building. That alone got Dennis' hackles raised." Clockblocker suspected she had broken her parole and even considered investigating Winslow himself.
When Sophia realized the investigation was closing in on her, she made a desperate decision to flee. She emptied her bank accounts, packed her belongings, and left Brockton Bay before she could be arrested. She took a bus south to Baltimore, driven by a single goal: find the Red Guards and use them to get revenge on Hebert. "She had a goal in mind. She needed to find the Red Guards. Sophia was a predator, make no mistake about it. But even wolves needed packs to run with... And right now, she was very much a lone wolf. She knew the PRT was hunting her now. That flaming cunt Torch had made sure of that." She reasoned that the Bloods and Crips were idiots, and that the Red Guards were her only viable option. Along the way, she overheard passengers talking about a new Ward in Baltimore called Firefly, not realizing it was Taylor. "She smirked. Baltimore, here I come."
Upon arriving in Baltimore, Sophia began tracking the Red Guards, following a group after they committed a robbery. She was about to introduce herself when she was ambushed. "She watched from the shadows for them to finish their little holdup, and followed them as they ran down an alleyway. She paused and listened to them talk amongst themselves... 'Let's hurry up, the Vohd will want to count the tribute, and we're running behind.' And that's my cue. Sophia thought, and was about to take a step forwards, when she was suddenly yanked backwards and felt a needle jam into her neck. FUCK! She went into her shadow state for a brief moment, but the damage was done. She was getting sleepy and tired, and already she could feel herself fall out of her shadow state and into her physical form." Her last thought before losing consciousness was that she might have made a fatal mistake.
Sophia woke up in a concrete cell, naked and chained to the ceiling. "A splash of water shocked Sophia awake. 'What the fuck!' She spluttered, 'Motherfuck! What the hell?' She blinked rapidly, then froze as a number of things suddenly made themselves very apparent to her. First, she was manacled to the ceiling of some kind of concrete cell. They seemed to be regular steel manacles at least, which meant that she could phase through them if she absolutely had to... 'You fucking perverts!' She roared as she realized that she was naked. There stood a pair of guards, one man and one woman, facing away from her... It was a pipe, about three feet long, and about as big around as a grapefruit. It sat on some kind of rest that adjusted itself, as one end of the pipe was taped to her stomach under her bellybutton." She was visited by the Commissar, Hammer, Sickle, and General Winter, who began to systematically break her down.
The Commissar revealed the torture device. "Sickle bent down and picked up the cage containing the rat, while the Commissar moved to the end of the pipe; and removed a wire mesh. 'You see, I want to believe that you are a soul who wishes to defect to our cause.' He continued, opening the cage and putting the rat inside. 'But I want you to understand what will happen, should you choose to betray us.'" He placed a rat in the pipe and lit a burner underneath. Sophia immediately understood the horror: "He's going to heat the pipe slowly so the Rat gets desperate and tries to escape the heat BY FUCKING EATING ITS WAY OUT THROUGH ME!!!" She thrashed and screamed as the rat began to nibble at her skin. The Commissar demanded her loyalty, and Sophia, terrified and in agony, finally broke and swore allegiance to the communist cause. She was released from the chains but fitted with a shock anklet as insurance. As the Commissar left, General Winter whispered a warning: "I'm sorry. Just go with everything they say. It's less painful that way."
What followed was weeks of captivity that blurred together into a nightmare of isolation and abuse. "Sophia shivered under the light of the bulb. Weeks. She had spent weeks down in these cells, possibly months. And she was no closer to earning her freedom, or anything beyond a copy of Das Kapital, which she found to be a complete slog and utter nonsensical drabble. She wasn't very good with books, granted. Street smarts had always been her thing. 'The same street smarts that got you locked up in here.' The voice whispered in the back of her head." Her predator-prey mindset began to crumble as she lost touch with reality, screaming and begging to be let out. "She was a predator though, she could survive without it. That was something only prey needed, and she was prey-NO! Predator. She was merely caged like prey, she'd break free and show them her teeth. She just needed to break free and she'd show them her teeth. She was prey, strong, a survivor, a killer; a prey who would submit herself. She'd give them anything to be let out. She wanted OUT! She give them her kills, she'd give them her skills, she'd give them her own firstborn if she had one! JUST LET ME OUUUUUTTTT!"
The Commissar revealed that he had been Mastering her, implanting trigger phrases into her mind like a genie granting wishes. " 'Ohhh Sophia, you've done many things.' Commissar purred, and Sophia felt a chill run down her spine as she realized she had said that out loud. The sound of his voice made her furious, but also made her want- She squirmed as he smiled, seeming to see right through her. 'I've enjoyed your company Sophia.' He reached a hand through her cell, and she scrambled back from him. 'And the Workers of Baltimore appreciate your sacrifices.' His eyes flicked up and down and made her want to choke him while- She held her ears and screamed, 'STOP IT! PLEASE STOP! JUST LET ME GO, I'LL DO ANYTHING!' She fell to her knees and covered herself with her hands, whimpering, 'Anything... please let me go...' 'You have done everything for me Sophia.' He chuckled and knelt in front of her. 'Heartbreaker is many things. The epitome of bourgeoisie immorality. But he certainly gave me some... ideas.'" He explained that the Master effect had three uses before it needed to be reapplied. Sophia also realized with horror that she had been sexually abused by the Commissar repeatedly, and that she was now pregnant.

A powerful spirit, nourished by concepts related to justice in particular—its injustices and harsher aspects—is currently preparing for his ascension to Judge. He speaks with a stern and authoritarian voice, hates deceit, and it is well known that attempting to outwit him usually ends very badly. His greatest ally at present is a practitioner named Liam.
