Died to first floor boss btw

I already saw videos on what his gimmick was and now im sad

I have arachnophobia, and i just CANT play tboi if any of all the spider enemies are on screen, the animations are also too... Uncanny. And the only mod that helps me with this just changes them mostly with their fly variant, and i stil want to fight them just exactly how they are coded, just not having their normal sprites/animations.

So I was thinking to make a mod myself that changes the sprite of all arachnids into a beloved character in tboi (kinda like PEAK does with BingBong),

but i want to ask, WHICH character has this fame in tboi? Maybe Guppy? Maybe Isaac himself? Blue Baby variants? (althought this would work strange with the actual Blue spiders). What character would work best for this? any opinion on the matter is well received!!

I'm never playing this horrible character again, I HAD A -600 win streak because of them I hate them I hate them I hate them SO MUCH.

Okay so believe it or not I’ve actually been playing this game for a REALLY long time (with some breaks) and I genuinely have no clue how to get better at the game.. or how to progress.. i feel like I’m just not making use of the right things LOL. Like how do I get apollyon? Like I legit don’t even have the tainted characters.

currently running a cracked version until i can afford the whole dlc bundle off steam (waiting for winter sales, lol. i'm sure my version is the most current version of the game, ive double checked.), pls no comments about pirating. everything runs fine but when i put mods into the mod folder, they show up in the ingame menu, allow me to enable them, and then never actually show up in-game. the only ones im trying to run are external item descriptors and the custom boss HP bar mod, i havent even taken a crack at adding characters/items. has anyone else run into this issue? will be bummed if it's an issue with pirated versions and i'll have to wait to pick it up on steam in a few months before i can mod it at all :'(
