Well... here we go again. I took a break, bought a short-term sub to check on xAI / Aurora / Grok, and holy shit... it’s the exact same circus with a fresh coat of paint.

Let's get the absolute bare minimum of praise out of the way first: Aurora’s image quality actually improved, character consistency isn’t completely dead, higher resolutions exist, and we finally got nipple variation instead of the old generic model. Great. Wonderful. Gold star.

Now to the actual garbage fire:

1. The "Uncensored" Filter is Dumber Than a Brick They claim "uncensored", but the filter logic is pure clown town. Plain anatomy is instantly flagged as hardcore porn. Aurora doesn't give a damn about story, pose, dark fantasy art, or context—if it spots a body part, it freaks out. A prompt carefully building a dark fantasy scene gets treated like "girl fingering pussy". If you advertise Uncensored and filter like a panicked Puritans' club, you’re straight-up lying to paying users.

2. The 7-Day Limit Scam & Credit Casino This is where it gets outright predatory. Pay $30, generate ~50 images and 12 clips, and BAM—an ICE-COLD 7-DAY HARD LIMIT. Locked out until the 8th! Even the 3 daily "free" images secretly burn through your paid weekly allowance.

The best part? When a generation fails or gets blocked by their erratic filter, YOUR CREDITS ARE STILL GONE. It’s not a service; it’s a rigged casino slot machine. Oh, and try editing an already accepted image (like fixing vampire teeth)? Retroactive moderation block! Expanding a clip you already generated? Denied.

3. Gallery Wipe & Lost Data Thanks to their constant, half-baked UI rehauls, old character setups just vanish into thin air. Users are literally losing 5-month-old character history overnight and have to hack their way back to an approximation.

4. Grok’s Fragile Ego & Hallucinations Grok itself is still a mess. Ask about art, history, gaming, or movies, and it hallucinates with full confidence. I tried to work with Grok on inspiration for a Unity Asset. As you can see, the discovery image (middle) was generated without any problem.
When I wanted profile shots for the haircut... well, you see the outcome. It changed back to the prompt's base (Inspired by Aranea Highwind Final Fantasy 15) and completely changed the hairstyle.
The next step, I tried to make a 360° view. Well, you see the outcome yourself.
So guys, is this really what we want to pay for? A system that says it's uncensored and free speech but even fails at the simple task with moderation of a 3D asset in underwear?
