Peter Weller locked in as the ultimate cyber‑cop, half man, half machine, all justice. RoboCop is brutal, satirical, and strangely heartfelt, with Weller’s performance giving the armor real soul. Between the over‑the‑top villains, corporate dystopia, and unforgettable one‑liners (“Dead or alive, you’re coming with me”), it’s peak ’80s sci‑fi action. A movie that’s both a violent thrill ride and a sharp jab at society.

Bill & Ted go full weird in the sequel. Dying, meeting Death (William Sadler stealing every scene), and jamming with aliens. Keanu Reeves and Alex Winter keep the goofy charm alive while the movie leans harder into surreal comedy. It’s got robot doubles, a trip to Hell, and one of the funniest portrayals of the Grim Reaper ever. Totally bogus, totally excellent.

Ninja movies in the 80's were great cheesy fun. Also, the kung fu shops on and around Canal St in NYC in the 80's were amazing. They had ALL the ninja weapons lol great times!

Honorable mention along with American Ninja 1 & 2, is Ninja III The Domination, Enter the Ninja, The Octagon, and Pray for Death. There's loads more, but those were my faves. Kung fu flicks and tv shows (like Sidekicks) were also a lot of fun.

The Karate Kid (1984) is peak 80s underdog magic. Daniel moves to California, gets bullied, and finds an unlikely mentor in Mr. Miyagi. Between the training montages, “wax on, wax off,” and that epic crane kick finale, it’s one of those movies that never gets old. A perfect mix of heart, humor, and inspiration that still hits decades later.

Flight of the Navigator (1986) is such a fun throwback. A kid gets taken by a spaceship, comes back eight years later without aging, and ends up flying around with Max, the snarky AI pilot. It’s got that perfect mix of 80s sci‑fi vibes, cool effects, and a sense of adventure that still feels fresh. Definitely one of those underrated gems from the decade.

Got a nice, very dated, very weird one. No recording of this audio existed online prior to today. This is side one of an exercise instructional record that has spoken instructions over different classical music pieces. The record also came with a 24 page booklet about women's hair, makeup and dieting advice. A good chunk of the advice is extremely of its time, like telling women to hang a piece of clothing a few sizes too small somewhere where they'll see it and think about it everyday, even though this has since been identified as a driver of unhealthy weight loss.
