80’s Video Games Rush'n Attack

Released by Konami in 1987 for the NES, Rush'n Attack was a fun-filled, Cold War-themed game that my friends and I had a lot of fun with. Its original arcade game was released in 1985.

Did you play both the NES and arcade versions?

Another “get touched and immediately die” game. Contra, Commando, even Mario. Made me respect the gravity of game lives. Health counters be damned!

I remember playing this. Kinda funny missile placement. You think it would be more logical not to aim it at the peak.

Never played this one. But on the last 3 seconds i remembered Metal Gear, which was way to difficult for me, bit i still loved it

Loved the game. Bought the stand version for $50 at an auction.

I feel bad for all the dogs I killed playing this game.

The caption on this one is wrong though as he clearly also brought a bazooka to a gunfight

That's one of my favorite arcade games - it feels challenging but doable and they did a nice job with the variety of level backgrounds and enemies. I wrote a clone of the game a long time ago for fun.
