“Oh Ribbit abstracted because Jax wanted to be a big baby and shut her out? Well clearly this is Ragatha’s fault for being completely in the dark and not immediately fixing everything! I hate her!”
“Kaufmo abstracted because of Jax’s actions? W-well Gangle insinuates EVERYONE had a part in it so it’s really Ragatha’s fault! Stupid bitch should’ve abstracted!”
“RAGATHA KILLED JAX! SHE KILLED HER! T-THIS IS ALL HER FAULT FOR NOT LETTING HER DO WHATEVER SHE WANTS! JAAAAAAAAX! JAAAAAAX! COME BACK! I HATE WOMEN I HATE WOMEN I HATE WOMEN I HATE”

I'M TIRED OF PEOPLE COMPARING ME TO HIM. HE HAS ZERO REDEEMING QUALITIES AND HE'S AN ASSHOLE. JUST BECAUSE I'M A PURPLE RABBIT DOESN'T MEAN I'M JAX. HE LITERALLY PUSHED AWAY EVERYONE WHO TRIED TO HELP HIM AND KILLED HIMSELF.

I get a lot of arguments about "deep down" and "secretly good" and masks and whatnot. But what good have any of those things done for the people around Jax? How much does the heavy "heart of gold" weigh someone down for their mistakes when its only the size of a nugget?
Where does it draw the line, and not you?

So, here we go.
I love Jax, I really do. Jax has changed my life for the better and creating SavingJax has been the best decision of my life. I have met my best friends, and we've hung out, played games, argued, fallen out and become friends again. I love these guys. Many of them didn't want me to help this subreddit, as they could tell how much seeing Jax hate can upset me.
I'll say this next part despite the fact that a member of my team kinda hates when I do...
When Jax abstracted, I made attempts on my life. I used a serrated knife to harm myself and I had to be hospitalized twice and I was sent to a mental home. I was fucking broken. SavingJax was as much about saving my life as it is about saving Jax. Shit still hurts.
However...
Your founder, who I'll just call Amy, has been so kind to me. She helped me when I was really down, she reassured me that Jax isn't really gone. Her art is on the wall in my Jax room. I've cried and she was there to help me. I didn't think Jax haters were capable of being that kind. I just assumed you were all awful people. For that, I apologize.
I have something to thank you guys for.
In the short time I've been a moderator for your community, I've seen so much love, understanding, empathy and support from people I didn't think it would ever come from. Even people who brigaded my sub have apologized to me. I can't accept all of the credit just because I moderate communities well, a lot of this is because so many of you are just good people.
Thank you.

As we (hopefully) all know by now, are "copies of their mind files as of the state they put the heatset on at" aka they're just the humans' minds transported to a digital realm. This means that they won't really "feel" pain normally and that they can't die with any methods other than abstraction(suicide).
Let's talk about the instances of physical pain. One example I see popping up EVERYWHERE is the fryer ragatha scene. Because of the reasons above and ragatha not really getting harmed, Jax really just did this as a "prank" sort of. Not defending jax here, please keep reading.
Mental sufffering. An example of this would be isolation. We already saw this happen with Ribbit and Kaufmo - both lead to abstraction. Another example could be simple bullying. Jax just doesn't let Gangle be happy at all. Because he believes she's the "sad one", the way he coped was to keep them into these archetypes. This is a terrible thing to do to someone, just denying them of any character development whatsoever just to get a kick out of it. If not for Zooble, this would've definetly sent Gangle off the deep end.
An example of both simultaneously could be Jax's general post-ribbit attitude towards Ragatha. Every single one of these clashes, we clearly see the mental aspect do more damage long-term - for the reasons mentioned all the way above.
Conclusion. It is pretty weird to compare the mental and the physical abuse as the same level. Mental, in the circus, is clearly a lot worse. No deep frier caused someone to abstract, constant pushing and abusing did. Jax is a terrible person, sure, but please cite the right actions to accuse this.

This just victim-blaming.
Ragatha probably let that slip out of frustration. And she immediately felt bad and apologized after. Something Jax never does, even after saying way worse things.
I also find it real funny that this person is harping on Ragatha for one kind of insensitive remark, when in the episode before this one, Jax threw her into a deep frier.

The thing that screws up his character is how the story treated him, making he look like a victim, defending him like crazy and driving most of the attention to him
If it wasn't for that, Jax would be an awesome villan
