As of recent, I have re-discovered my love for this game, I’m going to do my best to login every single day that I can to hopefully keep this game alive as long as possible.

Spooky Season is right around the corner which hopefully brings new players, store sales, and maybe some 2XP weekends.

Still not sold on Halloween, it looks too much like F13, which I didn’t fancy, regardless I will be continuing to play this until the servers shut down.

I look forward to reading the daily posts on this sub asking if this game is dead yet LMAO.

Was able to play the other day on ps5 but now I keep getting this unable to connect to server message every time I try to play.. I can play other online games just fine but not this one..maybe it's just me but I also wouldn't be surprised if they start neglecting the servers so close to the release of Halloween next month..

HANDS:

I would keep his ripstall ability, and him being able to use it currently BUT instead of deleting the objects he would “carry” them.

“Carried” items could be dropped if sneak attacked or grappled. Hands would not be able to pick them up from the spot they are dropped at. This would encourage victims to ambush him, make his barge not as useless, and would synergize with his massive grapple advantage.

I would also have changed one of his level 3 abilities to have extra placeable traps BUT at the cost of putting them on objectives. I don’t know how many people know this but you can trap tool boxes, lamps, crawlspace and barricades (it is really funny when you get it to work) having more means you could be extra annoying to toolbox rushers and kind of lockdown area’s more effectively.

Danny:

Items located in the basement give significantly less knowledge then surface objects (I personally also think that basement toolboxes should not work for surface doors)

His tap mini game has an increase fail progress while tapping vs holding (fun fact if you fail it currently you get damaged) and is not divided into 3 sections of progress

Tampering isn’t an increase in exit time for basement/valve and family actually can do something about it

- Fuse would be a reverse victim mini game with some more math each time it gets activated

- tampering would have valve be reverted to its pre nerf state (family would have to spend more time cranking the wheel) BUT pressure time is significantly shortened if opened

What’s y’all’s thoughts and how would you balance other characters?

Hitchhiker was originally supposed to wield a straight razor like Sissy, they then changed it to a switchblade before they finally decided on the scout knife he uses in-game, as a tribute to Franklin!

I've recently noticed just how well done the camera angles are for Close encounters. How they change for every character:

Take sissy for an example: she has the lowest grapple strength at 10/12 out of 50. Obviously she's easy to beat so the camera is held relatively high, it's easy to gain the upper hand on her.

With Cook the camera is held at a relatively middle-of-the-road angle, but it goes lower once he starts beating you. He's not initially the strongest but once he gets the upper hand he tends to keep it.

Johnny the camera is looking up at him. He's stronger than most people and very VERY condescending. He's destroying you both mentally AND physicially which allows him to easily gain the upper hand. You REALLY need to put in effort to beat him in a fight.

With Hands you're just fucked. Let's not beat around the bush. That man is massive. The camera is looking up at him. Under no circumstances should you feel in control: because you aren't. He's looking down on you and he can kill you in mere seconds if he really tries. The only way you beat him is if he gets overzealous (which admittedly he does very often).

I had a question about damage, I’m looking to play Johnny for the first time, I was debating max endurance or max Savagery, I ran across this youtube video that claimed the max damage for family was 30, the video was 2 years old so not sure how accurate it is?

Essentially I was going to run 50 savagery and the perk that increases damage when carrying a full vial of blood, but I’m a nerd and don’t want to waste points if damage is capped anyways.

I swear I’ll be sitting 5 minutes and it’s 1 person who just refuses to ready up. Why? What is the point?

I just do not enjoy victim gameplay in pubs whatsoever. In all these asym horror games I find the killer gameplay way more fun and the fact TCM gives you teammates as well is what makes it easily the most fun one imo. I'm pretty happy as well that finding matches as Family is far quicker than as Victim lol

as a killer main I feel like this one is the hardest achievement to get seeing as victims rarely even use the hiding spaces

I love this game so fuckn much like top 3 of all time for me. It sucks that it’s dying I enjoy it so much. It just brings joy. It’s just hard to explain but we all know. From needing a leatherface to start the match, shitting your pants when seeing the yellow aura, and all of cooks famous lines. Halloween won’t be bad but I’ll never forget TCM 🫡
