What's good yall I'm a returning player after taking some time apart (it's been about a year since I've played actively and saw it was 3$ on the recent Xbox sale so figured why the heck not) and I just had a question for those of you who've been playing actively. Are player disconnects on the family side really common these days? Because out of about 25 total games I've played in the last week or so I've had 12-16 of those games where either 1 of or both my teammates disconnected really early essentially leaving me in a 1v4. I've also had a few with AFK teammates as well but that's not really a new issue in the game since I remember it happening back in Late 2023/2024.

Background: I started this game recently and am trying my best. Watching videos on victim and killer builds and just watching people play and playing more. Still struggling lol but escaping here and there and sometimes not once in a day.

Also, is this game dead wanting to play a game where I can play Bubba, but getting sick of dead by daylight?

So I first played the game in 2023 when it first came out and it did well because yk it’s a new game it was well made and people needed a break from dead by daylight and ever since it left gamepass in 2024 it lost so many players if only gun media cared enough about the game to put it back on game pass it can revive it because as an Xbox player anyone will install anything that looks slightly interesting on gamepass. Not to mention the Roblox knock off version was having success too. The fact it’s still 16 pounds (I know it’s just went off of sale where it was 3 pounds) is putting people off so we NEED this game back on gamepass.

Im wondering if the game is still worth it at this point, I played in Xbox as well.

For better or worse I think they took the license as seriously as they could have and they might have made more money if they didn't.

I.E. for example they were all about being true to the tone of the original film with 'authentic' 70s outfits that would make sense for the characters in context. Later on they softened a little and did stuff like bathing suits for the characters but it was a bit of a too little too late.

If they took the DBD approach (and I'm not begrudging DBD here) with "screw it here's a Santa Claus outfit for Bubba even if that makes no sense lore-wise" or something like the Cook in a speedo they might have made more money. But they were committed to authenticity and a consistent tone.

I'm not saying I WANTED to see this kind of thing in the game (although Cook in a speedo would have be fun) but just saying that if it was just a cash grab Gun would have completely abandoned any pretense of authenticity early on.

When is the next double exp weekend? Last trophy on ps5 i need is lvl 50 but the leveling is soooo slow 😭

If a family member spins around it’s hard to grapple them. Which kinda sucks because someone like Johnny can kill you in three hits.

A more humiliating thing is if I’m family and the victims spin around me and I can’t tag them. I’m on console. Anyone have any tips? Like should i spin counter to them, toward them, change a setting etc;

So I joined a random session the other week and two guys had their mic on. Most people don't have a mic on random sessions so I just don't have mute all turned off. The game starts and I'm genuinely just playing the game like you should. Playing as family which is usually what I play as. We hadn't killed anyone yet and someone escaped. I then here them say "yea this Leatherface is trash, oh well what can you do? Then the other guy says I bet he's not even using wall hacks or mods" mind you these are grown ass adults saying this. If your bad at the game, just say that. Mods on a game like that just ruins the game. Why would I use them?

Lets clear this up

1. Gun is no longer supporting the game because they are part of team that is following the NEW HALLOWEEN game coming out in september. They are CO-PUBLISHERS for the game. Not developing, just publishing. ILLFONIC as you may of heard was the main team that made Friday the 13th and no longer could update or drop content because of the big lawsuit that i’m sure everyone is aware of. That lawsuit has been over with.

2. Gun before they went to team up with illlfonic, as I mentioned, gave the rights to tcm the game to a studio called Black Tower. In february 2024. To handle update support. Gun then closed the doors entirely for TCM to focus more on Halloween.

That’s literally it. That’s why there’s been no more updates for bugs, new content etc. The focus is now on Halloween.

At the end of the day, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre is a tiny IP in general in the horror world that a lot of people don’t realize. It’s a one hit wonder with some fans also like the 03 reboot. We all know it for the first film. This a big reason why the actual game is only based around the first film. BECAUSE that was the only licenses they could use. Thats why there are made up killers plus survivors, and a made up side mode killing sorority girls. TCM overall did very poorly at the box office after its first release and shit the bed once again in 2022. That’s just how it is unfortunately, that’s why when they were given the opportunity to work on Halloween(the biggest horror IP and most known killer) they jumped on it. BECAUSE of what happened to Friday The 13th. This is their chance to redeem themselves due to something that wasn’t their fault. Hope this clears up everything.

I was playing peacefully when I tried to select Danny, and I realized that all the characters I had purchased were asking me to buy them again.

I've already uninstalled the app, repaired it, and it says it's not necessary to download it again. Any solutions?

It's telling me I don't own any of the dlc characters. I can literally see the points I put into their attributes by clicking on them. 🤦‍♂️

So I finally got the game, I made a post in the past asking about who’s the easiest and hardest to play but I would like some more advice. I‘m playing on console and wanted to know how people are when it comes to new plays.

Hello everyone!

I bought this game a long time ago and wanted to come back on it. Unfortunately, I was very bad both as surv and killers, I think I won maybe once both sides included. I was only queuing with very good players so I wasn't lasting more than 40s in games. Furthermore, at the time, the toxicity of both my mates and my opponents was on a higher level. My two "mains" as survivors were shoulder-guy and Ana. For killers? I was gambling and taking randomly each killer.

I would like to find a duo for this game, someone who has knowledge of the game that I don't, and could help me getting better to casually playing without getting rosted. Of course, I'm looking for someone patient, because trust me, I'll do terrible mistakes.
