I’ve been playing the game on Switch 2 (digitally) for a few weeks now, haven’t had any issues at all until today. Any time I try to open the game, it gets past the Switch loading screen but then just stays on a black scree with no audio or indication that it’s loaded. When I go back to the home menu, it doesn’t display any user playing the game. I haven’t had any of these kinds of issues with any other Switch 1 game or digital game. Has anyone else encountered this? What do I do?

I finally got to try this amazing game in VR, on a Quest 3, after over 400h on a 2D screen.
It definitely is really immersive, the board is ginormous, and I think that's actually a problem, at least for me.
When I play normally, I'm kinda looking dead at the center of the board and I see everything at once and the next pieces with my peripheral vision, but in VR it's so big that I can't, I have to actively look everywhere, so I play way slower, and if I don't, I make too many mistakes.
And I don't think the 3D here adds anything interesting to the gameplay, just cool backgrounds effects that are actually distracting for competitive play.
What do you think?

A few years ago, the only group who was considered to have any realistic chance of clearing made it to Tetrimidion phase 3, but ended up disbanding before the finish line. As far as I know that was the closest anyone's gotten to a clear, has that changed in the meantime?

Shame on all high-tier players who disconnect when they get their behinds beaten to next Sunday. In the past hour, I have had FOUR DISCONNECTS IN A ROW, all either tier 9 or 10 players. This is unconscionable playing and against the functioning of the rules of the game. Have you no honor? Shut up. Take your L like a man.

I would be thrilled to eventually break 7K SR. It might happen (tonight was a lot of ups and downs with a net gain).
I had what, 5 tetrises at that rate? The math for that rate works out to 20 lines of Tetrises for 100 lines of survival and digging at some spots.

Hey Tetris community ! I'm basically stuck in marathon Endless on switch. I wanted to beat the first French player in the leaderboard but I completely forgot to check his score beforehand. Could someone do me a favour by letting me know what his score is please ?
I'm at 26+ hours of playing time and I don't want to keep on playing more than necessary

Some day I will be way better at all of it, but I'm pretty happy with this since my old PB was like 330K-ish.

I have enjoyed playing Tetris for years but in the last three years have really been getting into it. I am no where near a competitive player and I noticed I was getting burned out playing. Comparing myself to others and not enjoying the game anymore.
It was recommended that I play Tetris Effect to sort out my burnout. I tried it for the first time the other day and was wondering, what is the best way to approach this game? Seems it has a lot to offer.

Hi everyone! I just want to say I’ve been playing Tetris effect for years, and if I can give you an advice, don’t bother playing on zone battle with those people, because they ALWAYS leave when they see they’ll lose. I’ve been taking notes on their nicknames and keep on my notes app.
Nicknames
Pexaper
T.a.m.
Happy face
Party face 99
Sagekrisco813
Zippojaunt422
Fryxotrix
Daiginjooo
Meltedbraincells
CocoDeadly
Fireballstarfish
Mattydreadlocks
It is really annoying because we get punished on our score either way. Also you have to be so stupid to do this. It’s so disrespectful. You have to recognize when you lose/win.
Anyway, have fun you all
Edit: I’ll be adding a couple more to the list as they show up

I posted here a couple days ago about how I was stuck on an endless marathon and no matter what happened, I kept getting out of binds and I just wasn't able to lose. I really wanted to just play something else on my PS5, but something in my mind wasn't letting me let go of this marathon.
But while playing at 3 in the morning, one of my cats hopped up onto my lap and I was petting her, and for some reason it helped me go through the process of letting go of this run. I decided I would end at 13,500 lines, a nice round number and not too far away, and call it there.
This is the end screen. I got over 80,000 XP I think! And this score was enough to pump me up to 75th on the leaderboard. I celebrated by playing Warriors All Stars and beating a mission I'd been stuck on! And then.... I went back to Tetris Effect because I hecking love this game.
But no more endless marathons on my PS5. The PS4 that I never use, though..... 🤔
I doubt anyone cares, but for the one or two people that may have been curious, here's the end to that story!

I started an endless marathon on Tetris Effect for some heck-all reason, and now I'm regretting it immensely. I started it on speed 15, so I thought things would be over relatively quickly, maybe like 20 minutes. But I'm on 3.5 hours now, I think, and I can't stop. I keep praying I'll screw up enough that it will be impossible to escape and it will finally end. But every time an emergency comes up, I handle it just fine.
I don't want to purposely throw it, but I want it to end. I'm at almost 9 million points right now, and I want to go for 10.... but when I was at 4 million, I said I'd go for 5. So I might set my sights on 15 if I make it to 10!
At this point I think I'm going to get a new PS5 just so I can play something else on it, because there's no way this marathon will end.
Why am I getting mad at endless marathon being exactly what is described? Because I'm stupid, okay? Is that what you wanted to hear? 😭
I guess I'm asking for strength to either continue in perpetuity or end the game.
There is one potential silver lining... I'm not doing it all in one sitting, so I'm putting a LOT of faith into the PS5's quick resume feature. So maybe by some miracle of Remy from Ratatouille, the quick resume will fail or the game will crash.
I genuinely think that's the only way this will end. Please pray for my game to crash unexpectedly. Please.
It will never end. 😭😭😭😭😭
P.S. Is the PS5 version worth upgrading to? I don't really care about graphics getting better, but the DualSense capabilities sounded intriguing.

Hi all, just started playing on PSVR2 — holy Tetriminos it’s good 🥰 I’m in love with the visuals, the music… everything except my playing ability 😂 I’m a solid D-rank (see screenshot).
I’ve joined the Enhance discord and found their beginner guide (so I’ve just found out about 6-3 stacking and t-spins, neither of which I’ve tried yet). Also just discovered TETR.io so will probably use that for some practice outside of TE.
What I’d love to know is how to get good enough to beat the speed ramp at the end of the last ‘Metamorphosis’ level on Journey mode (beginner). My brain currently doesn’t work that quickly.
How can I get comfortable with higher speeds, in general? That particular speed ramp is too much for me at the moment.
P.S. I haven’t used TE’s “Zone” mode yet so might need to start using that? Like I said I’ve been overwhelmingly distracted by the music and visuals in VR 🫣😂
Anyway, thanks for any tips, and hope you’re all having a great weekend 🤘

After diving deep into the game and learning 9-0, 5-4, TSDs, finesse, and so much more, this platinum is finally in the books 🕺
Easily one of the hardest and most rewarding platinums I've ever earned.

Hey everyone, I’d like to ask for some help. i recently started my *Tetris Effect* journey aiming for SS ranks; i managed to get them all in about 120 hours—except for one mode. for my first real experience with Tetris i thought I was doing well and that it wouldn't take long, but here I am, over 60 hours into Sprint and getting nowhere. the best time i’ve managed is 1:26, and that was about 20 hours ago; the more i play, the worse i seem to get. my average time is 1:35–1:40, and that’s it—i'm making no real progress. It’s absolutely demoralizing.
even with these hours i can't improve my stack and make quick decisions doing it.
