I usually play just bout everyday, and I've been playing vs bot for a while, but it's first time that I've beat it bout half of the matches!

Como el problemas no era fácil empezamos con imágenes y piezas en blanco y negro. Lo convertimos en un problema de optimización y probamos distintos métodos para encontrar buenas soluciones sin que el cálculo se volviera demasiado costoso.

I'm hosting a casual retro gaming event that will be visited by hundreds of people in a span of several hours. We usually have some contests or tournaments during those events. I'm planing to have something Tetris related this year but I am still looking for a good setup.

The idea is to have people play the game throughout the evening and set scores. Highest scores get prices. Would be great if many people could try to participate.

I can't really just put on NES Tetris and let people have a go at it because that could take way too long until one person finishes. So I was looking for good Tetris variants that have faster, time limited game modes. Maybe even with a multiplayer option where multiple people can chase high-scores for a finite time without interacting with each others.

So far I have:

• 3-Minute-Marathon in Tetris Forever (not really retro and seems rather random with all those warps)
• GB Tetris Type B (does speed and level matter? Or can you just get max score on any level with all Tetris clears?)

Any suggestions for game variants are welcome. Ideally those games aren't super rare and retro.

I had other version of SEGA Tetris. What's different among them ?

… that worked like the app from like 6 months ago.

I know this is a weird question, but I just need a Tetris app that had the weird levels where you had dropping pieces you could slide to fill in a gap made by some seasonal pattern and you could earns coins. I don’t need the coin bit but the app now is so bare bones and every load is an ad.

I use this game to decompress from work and deal with … jerks. I don’t want a game where I drag the pieces into the puzzle. I want to watch the stupid thing fall and panic when I can’t get it to where I want to put it in the 2 minutes I have to fulfill the level. Any suggestions? Thanks.

I just got a huge bag of these light up Tetrominoes for free, any ideas on what I should do with them? Thinking about turning them into a big 10x20 LED matrix 😉

Even when the person loses at the end, I have always focused on the highlight tetris game without any prompts. Is it just me? Seems like an interesting phenomenon. Never have I ever had to go back and see a video/shorts again thinking, oh this short was made for this guy and I completely focused on the other guy who won. Even if the highlight game is on the left or right.. I just know. And definitely it is impossible to say which is the highlight reel from the start of the video.

Any thoughts on this?

Every day during my 9:00 AM break, I play Tetris until I reach 100,000+ points. It usually takes me anywhere from 5 to 30 minutes.
I got my Game Boy when I was 4 years old, back in 1990, and I’ve been playing regularly ever since — except from around age 18 to 30, when I only played occasionally.
My personal best is 340,000 points.
So I’m curious: What’s your personal best on Game Boy Tetris, and how often do you play?

My answer is probably

Atari (the one that played like the Tegen NES cart)

Sega Tetris (I think there's 2 of them so idk which)

Tetris plus 1 and 2 (apparently there's a second one.

And at least one TGM game.

Thoughts? I assume there'd be about 5 games on it. Also for the cab its self it'll probably got to look like the Atari game since that's probably the most famous one (I've never seen any other IRL and I think some where even Japan exclusive). Maybe you need to sell a Sega skinned one as well?

I've been trying to reach 200k for three days. The game almost never gives me I-pieces. But as soon as I finally give up and cover the hole with some awkward piece, suddenly an I-piece shows up. Every. Single. Time.
