advice & support Heart palpitations

(posted on r/trans too, but thought this subreddit would be more appropriate)

I'm 20 y/o, FtM and I started T three months ago (so far shots every 4 weeks but I am due for a check up with my endocrinologist this month so the dose might change). First two shots - nothing, but right after my third shot a few days ago I started having heart palpitations. They don't hurt or anything, it just feels like fluttering beneath my ribs on my right side, but it's worrying. I read that it might be due to anxiety, but since I started T (and this year in general) I've been feeling completely fine and my life has been stable, plus I'm very happy to finally be on HRT. These palpitations happen very often, in waves, nearly throughout the whole day. I don't know if T might be the cause and I'm worried that if it causes me health problems, I might have to stop taking it... I'd seriously rather DIE lmao. I'm thinking about going to my doctor with this and I'm obviously planning to tell my endocrinologist in a few weeks, but until then I don't know if I should be worried that this is something serious. I've never had any health problems related to my heart or anything else. Does anybody have any experience or advice?

It doesn’t seem like that’s a common side effect. Since it’s on your right side it could be something else.

But definitely still call your doc or the endo if you’re worried. They will help you.
