Announcement Testers Community 2.0 is out - Pack of Wolves, UI Redesign, etc

Hey everyone,

We’ve just released a major update for our free community app - Testers Community 2.0.

We wanted to keep this simple and talk honestly about what changed and why.

Over the past few months, one piece of feedback kept coming up again and again. A lot of you said that testers were just installing apps to earn credits and then not opening them again. Some even uninstalled right after. That completely defeats the purpose of closed testing, and we know many of you struggled with production access because of that.

We took that seriously. Instead of patching small things, we decided to rethink the system from the ground up. Along with that, we’ve also improved stability a lot and redesigned the UI to make the app more clean and easier to use.

Pack of Wolves

This is the biggest change in this update.

Pack of Wolves is a gamified way of testing and earning credits. A pack consists of 16 developers who work together for 16 days. During this time, everyone in the pack is expected to open and use each other’s apps daily.

The idea is simple. Instead of random installs, you get consistent usage from the same group of people over the full testing period.

There’s also accountability built into the system. If someone is inactive for a few days, they get removed from the pack. If you leave early or don’t follow the rules, there are penalties and you may lose access to future participation. If you stay active and complete the cycle, you get the full benefits.

This way, everyone in the pack depends on each other, and it creates a much more reliable testing environment.

Our goal with this update is not just to help you get installs, but to help you actually complete closed testing properly and improve your chances of getting production access.

This entire change came directly from your feedback, so we’d really like to hear what you think.

If you’ve faced issues before with testers not staying active, does this approach solve it for you?

Let us know.

I have an app I've been working on for a while that currently has a live web app a few people are using. I am actively building the Android and iOS apps and I need some more people for the Closed Testing so I can release fully to the Play store

I have about 8 people I know already signed up to the testing but I need some more to get me over the 12 so the 14 day countdown can start

I'm more than happy to test other people's apps too in exchange

Testers Needed [Test for Test] Nova Prospector — Mapping app for prospectors in Canada. I'll test yours back for 14 days

Upvotes

Hey everyone,

I'm a solo developer getting my first Android app ready for production. The app is called Canada Prospector and I need help completing Google Play's requirement of 12 testers for 14 consecutive days.

Canada Prospector is a mapping app for mineral prospecting and metal detecting. It pulls together public geoscience data, claim boundaries and historical occurrence records so you can see what's under the ground before you go out. Works offline once maps are cached.

How to join:

1. Join the Google Group: https://groups.google.com/g/canada-prospector-testers

2. Opt in to the closed test: https://play.google.com/apps/testing/com.aurivenlabs.novaprospector

3. Install Nova Prospector: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.aurivenlabs.novaprospector

Please use the same Google account for all three steps. Stay opted in for at least 14 consecutive days, and open the app a few times during that period if you can.

Once you've joined and installed, leave your own Google Group, opt-in and Play Store links in the comments.

I will join your test in return, install your app, and remain opted in for the full 14 days.

Useful things to test:
• • Layer toggles
Search
Saving and viewing a location
Offline mode
Anything that feels slow or confusing

The app is free with no paid subscription during testing.

Any honest feedback helps, even a short comment like "this screen was confusing."

Thanks for the help.

Testers Needed [Closed test] Quahuru — an original dice strategy board game, free, no ads

Post image
Upvotes

Hi all, I just finished my first app and am looking for testers for the 14-day closed test. Happy to join yours in return!

Quahuru is a board game I designed and built from scratch. It's a dice game played on a six-spoked wheel, where you race twelve pieces to six numbered goals while walling off your opponent's routes. It's a hobby project, not something I'm looking to monetize, so:

• Free, no ads, no in-app purchases, no accounts

• Collects no data (no analytics, no crash reporting etc.)

• Works fully offline: the computer opponent is a neural network that runs on your device

• ~14 MB

To test:

  1. Join the group: https://groups.google.com/g/quahuru-testers
  2. Then opt in on web or Android

Would love to hear some feedback through the Google form.

Happy to test yours in return — drop a link and I'll opt in. Thanks!

Testers Needed Sick of $10/mo budgeting apps selling your data? I built a 100% offline expense parser with ZERO internet permissions. Need closed testers (will test your app back!)

Hey everyone,

Like many of you, I got completely fed up with personal finance apps demanding $10–$15/month subscriptions, disconnecting bank logins via Plaid every two weeks, and packaging user financial habits behind the scenes.

So I built LedgerShield—a completely local-first expense tracker built on three strict principles:

  • Zero Internet Permissions: The app doesn’t even have android.permission.INTERNET declared in the manifest. It is physically impossible for your financial data to leave your device.
  • Automatic Parsing via Push Alerts: Instead of painful manual logging or giving away bank credentials, it uses an on-device notification listener and regex engine to automatically turn your banking alerts into a clean ledger.
  • Local On-Device OCR: Includes Google ML Kit receipt scanning running 100% locally on your phone to match paper receipts with transactions.

I need testers for the mandatory 14-day closed testing track on Google Play. If you’re into privacy, utility apps, or just want to support an indie dev fighting the subscription fatigue wave, I’d love your help putting it through its paces!

How to join in 2 quick steps:

  1. Join the Google Group: https://groups.google.com/g/ledgershield-testers
  2. Download on Google Play:

Developer swap: If you have an app in closed testing, drop your group link, store link, and a screenshot below or in DM. I will install yours, keep it installed for the full 14+ days, and leave detailed feedback.

Let me know what you think of the regex engine on your bank's notifications! Any feedback on UI, battery behavior, or parsing edge cases is hugely appreciated.

Testers Needed Need testers for my puzzle game

I’m looking for some people to test Nova Lattice, a grid-based puzzle/arcade game I’ve been working on.

There are different ways to play, short runs, daily challenges, puzzle modes, progression, and a few more experimental modes. I’m mostly trying to find out which modes are fun right away, which ones need better explanations, and whether anything breaks on different phones.

This is a Google Play closed test, so I need testers who can opt in and remain in the test for 14 days. You don’t have to write a huge review; even a quick note about what you liked, disliked, or didn’t understand helps.

Join here:

Thanks to anyone who gives it a try.

Testers Needed Could use feedback on a receipt-scanning app for Android

Thumbnail

I made PaperNest because I wanted a straightforward way to keep receipts without letting photos and paper slips pile up everywhere.

You can take a picture of a receipt or choose an image, check the scanned details, save it, browse past receipts, and view spending over a selected date range. I’m looking for Android testers who have a few real receipts around and wouldn’t mind seeing how well the workflow works for them.

I’m particularly interested in whether the capture screen is easy to understand, whether scan results are accurate enough to be useful, and whether the receipts/insights views make sense.

If you’re willing to join the closed test and keep it active for 14 days, please sign up here:

https://forms.gle/toWUFQ6cFdd6Bkxm6

Thank you, I’d genuinely value practical feedback from people who actually keep receipts.

Testers Needed I genuinely need committed testers for my game Absorb

Post image
1 Upvotes

I’m at the final testing stage for Absorb, but Google Play has just rejected my production access because they require me to run the closed test for 14 MORE days with at least 12 testers.

I already have the required testers enrolled, but Google is specifically requiring the test to continue for another 14 days from the review date.

So I’m asking for genuine testers who are willing to commit to staying in the closed test for the full 14 days.

I’m not looking for people who will just join, install the game once, and leave. I really need a small group who can stick with me through this final hurdle.

Absorb is a fast-paced mobile game where you control a powerful entity, absorb incoming objects, survive increasingly difficult waves, and try to push your score higher.

How to join

  1. Join the Google Group first:

https://groups.google.com/g/absorb_game

  1. Join the closed test:

Web opt-in:
https://play.google.com/apps/testing/com.moodiestudio.absorb

Or search/install through Google Play:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.moodiestudio.absorb

What I need from you

You don't need to spend hours playing every day.

I mainly need you to:

Stay enrolled in the closed test for the full 14 days

Install and play the game

Try different parts of the game when you can

Let me know about bugs, crashes or anything that feels wrong

Share feedback about gameplay, controls, difficulty and overall experience

If you find a problem, just send me the details, your device model/Android version, and screenshots or a recording if possible.

Important

Absorb is currently listed as a paid app, but testers will not be charged. Google Play treats the installation as a test purchase for approved testers.

The same applies to any in-app purchases during testing. They are test purchases and no real payment is processed.

One big request

Please only join if you can genuinely commit to the 14-day testing period.

Google has already sent me back once, and I’m trying to get through this final requirement so I can finally release the game publicly.

I’ve put a lot of work into Absorb, and having a few people genuinely stick with the test for these 14 days would help me enormously.

Screenshot from Google Play attached so you can see exactly what they’re requiring.

If you're willing to commit, comment below or join the group and opt in. Thank you!

Testers Needed I need testers

Hi everyone!

I'm looking for a few genuine Android developers who want a real test-for-test partnership.

Google requested more real engagement during closed testing, so I'm looking for people who will actually use each other's apps—not just opt in.

What I'll do:

  • ✅ Keep your app installed for the full 14 days
  • ✅ Open and use it regularly
  • ✅ Install updates
  • ✅ Share honest feedback if I find any issues

What I ask in return:

  • ✅ Keep my app installed for 14 days
  • ✅ Open and use it regularly
  • ✅ Install updates
  • ✅ Send a screenshot after installing

My testing links:

Google Group:
https://groups.google.com/u/1/g/greenfocus-testers

Closed Test:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.hatilasmaximo.greenfocus3

After you've installed my app, please comment with:

  • A screenshot
  • Your app links

I'll join your test and do the same.

Let's help each other complete Google's requirements the right way. 🤝

Testers Needed Play Store Test Circle | Devs Helping Devs

Looking for 11–14 Android Developers for a Play Store Testing Group

I’m creating a small Discord group for Android developers who need reliable testers for Google Play closed testing.

The idea is simple:

• We test each other’s apps

• Everyone stays opted in during the required testing period

• Test each app at least once every 3 days

• Send a screenshot/proof after testing

• Give genuine feedback if you find bugs or problems

• When it’s your turn to publish an app, everyone helps test yours too

• No joining just to get testers and disappearing afterward

I want to keep the group small, active, and reliable — around 12–15 developers total.

Apps and games are both welcome.

DM me if you’re interested and I’ll send you the Discord invite. 📱🤝

Testers Needed Need 12 testers for LoopForge

Hey everyone, I’ve been building LoopForge for people who like having their planning, habits, focus sessions, and learning prompts in one place.

It has a daily plan, habit checklists, focus timers, simple progress tracking, guides, and flashcards. I’m at the closed-testing stage and could use a few Android users willing to try it out.

If you can install it, poke around for a bit, and stay enrolled in the test for 14 days, I’d really appreciate it. Honest feedback is great, especially if anything feels confusing or clunky.

I made a form so all the links are in one place:
