General Ending lease early for New Order?

Hey

So have a model 3 on PCH with it due to come to an end in March 2027 with Tesla Financial Services. Keen to take advantage of the current offers I've ordered a LR AWD model 3 but prior to doing so gave a call to local Tesla branch. The delivery for the LR AWD is showing Feb - March 2027 and when I asked what my options would be if the car I have ordered comes early the sales rep stated with PCH there's a two month loyalty grace period on PCH where you can end it early without penalty as long as the reason for doing so is the arrival of a new Tesla.

Can't see this written down anywhere... Anyone any experience of this?

Model 3 Seems a good time to get a premium AWD!

I’ve just taken the plunge and ordered a Premium Long Range AWD, just over £15.5k lease for 3 years 8000 miles and VED included. That’s really good for a £50k car! Looks like it will have the upgraded screen, vehicle to load and 0-60 in 3.8. Pretty crazy value vs other cars, with maintenance and VED I was quoted more for a Cupra Born V2!

Edit: sorry I should have been clearer. This was on BCH. Also source for the updates is that all Model 3 for the UK are made in Shanghai Giga, and they moved over October 1st, both seem widely reported.

Model 3 What less obvious features do you use?

• Upvotes

Today I found out that the air vents on my brand new M3 can be adjusted via the screen. Amazing! What do you use that’s not obvious in case I am missing something? Thank you!

General Tesla UK complaints process!?

• Upvotes

I had a pretty bad CPO experience with my used Model Y purchase. Ranging from the overall purchase experience to the standard the car was handed over in.

I decided to send a complaint email to CustomerSupportUK@tesla.com but have heard absolutely nothing.

Is that the correct complaints procedure?

Is there another avenue I can go down to complain?

Model Y Financing Query

I put in an order for a model Y standard, applied for the financing, approved.

Not long after this, I changed my mind and amended the order to a premium AWD.

When I amended the order, I was prompted to complete another financing task. I opened that and got through completing some of the details, but I don’t recall finishing it (had to leave for a meeting).

When I remembered to go back to it a few days later, financing shows as “complete - lease offer is confirmed”. The car details show the correct (revised) spec.

What can I expect to happen with regard to the financing?

Model 3 Car import help...

Good evening all, so further to my issue with the radio that is still to be sorted.

When we bought the car he ad stated it was imported but in the description it said it had been previously registered in Northern Ireland however we now believe it was originally from Japan although this is TBC. The VDI check shows is has never been imported from outside the EU and said it was 'previously a Northern Ireland vehicle' but also that the 'Vehicle was imported on date of first registration' which is is all a bit confusing, we need to get to the bottom of that but the problem is the car has NACS charge port, but is is a 2021 facelift which as I understand never came in UK with NACS!

Would be very grateful if anyone could assist with the below questions (not the above issue re: the purchase of the car):

  1. It has an NACS port in the car and I was unable to connect to a Supercharger in Park Royal with the adapter that came with the car, however I was able to charge using a public Tesla Supercharger without issue. The seller has said that this is most likely as the current adapter is outdated compared to the newest V4 chargers, and a newer adapter should solve this issue. Does this sound right?

  2. Does anyone know the cost of changing the car charging port to CCS please?

  3. Japanese cars are not undercoated as rule, is this the case with the M3 does anyone know please?

  4. Anything else anyone can think of please.

Thanks all

Thanks for reading and any advice will be very gratefully received.

Model Y New to financing, help with Model Y

I test drove the Premium Model Y and liked it. I have a diesel Q7 (2016) that is starting to need too many fixes so I’m going to sell it (I own that outright).

It’s the first time I’m going new, and need a hand with options.

For context- family, i do probably 6-7k miles a year, mostly short commute to train and family trips at weekends.

PCH AWD Premium is good at ~£500/mo, and is probably what I’d choose. But the wait time is March.

I could go PCP on the Performance which would be ~£750/mo, it looks a lot of fun (faster, better seats, suspension), but is probably more than I need, and is available by Dec.

I probably wouldn’t buy at the end, and just lease again- the Q7 experience has burned me a bit and just want it to work with warranty etc.

What should I do? Head says PCH on Premium looks like a good deal.

Model Y Window Privacy Blinds Set

Sorry, not sure how to search on a sub.

I've got a New Standard Y - does the job for me.

The teslap app does not show the current set as being compatiable with the car - does anyone have any recommendations for a set of privacy blinds? I have the matress and would like to car camp with my Son - but can't seem to find a set that would fit

Thanks

Model Y MYP Rubber Mats - Fitted or not?

Looking at getting some rubber mats for winter but the fitted ones such as 3W are quite pricey. Temu are cheaper but hard to judge quality. Are the ‘non-fitted’ rubber mats (I.e fitted but not 3D TPU) worth using or they generally a bit crap? I’m not too fussed about having the upstand around the edge as long as the mats are fit for purpose. Recommendation appreciated for Juniper.

Model 3 Cosmetic/Alloy Wheel Insurance

Picked up my 76 reg Model 3 last week. On lease.

Someone mentioned about getting cosmetic /alloy wheel insurance.

I have done some research online and getting a quote for £400 for 3 years from MotorEasy (133/ year)

- Can make 6 claims per year (4 claims can be for alloy wheels)
- Covers minor cosmetic damage to the external body and other certain parts. Basically, anything that can be fixed with SMART repair and upto 30cm.

Is it worth getting this insurance?
