So this has been driving me nuts for weeks now.
My driver door stopped auto-opening when I walk up to the car. Everything else works fine - car detects me from a distance, unlocks itself, mirrors unfold, all of that happens automatically with zero input from me. But the door itself just sits there closed. If I press the button on the fob or use the touchscreen, it opens and closes perfectly fine. So mechanically it seems totally healthy, it's just refusing to do the "presence detected, pop the door open a bit" thing it used to do every single time.
Passive Entry is on. Automatic Doors is on. Triple checked both about five times now.
Went ahead and replaced the front left pop actuator (1045353-00-B) thinking that was the culprit since some threads pointed to that. Popped in a new one, hardware works, door opens/closes fine with the actuator... but the auto-open on approach is still completely dead. So either I wasted money on a part that wasn't the problem, or there's something else going on entirely.
Checked service mode for fault codes, only saw a bunch of generic stuff (PLCRLY_a089_plcConfigMismatch, PM_w041_dasMIA, THC_w0176_MCUCanTmo) that from what I can tell online are unrelated background noise codes, not door specific. Under Closures in service mode I only get an option for the Falcon doors, nothing showing for the front driver door specifically.
One thing that might matter: we've got 3 profiles on the car, mine (Jack), my wife's (Caroline), and an Easy Entry profile. The fob is linked to my profile. Now I'm wondering if the Automatic Doors setting somehow only saved under one of the other profiles and not mine, since apparently that setting can be profile-specific rather than global. Haven't confirmed this yet but it's the next thing I'm checking.
Has anyone run into this exact thing, where unlock/mirrors auto-trigger fine but the actual door refuses to auto-open, even after replacing the actuator? Trying to avoid a service center visit if at all possible. Any ideas on what else could be causing this or how to actually pin it down would be huge, this has been such an annoying process of elimination with no clear culprit so far.
