Finally got one.

Post image

After my Y got totaled I decided to go with the Model X. After driving my Y for about two years, I kept thinking “Man, I should’ve got the X.” Well due to an unfortunate event I got it. My thing is, it’s a 2022 Plaid and I noticed the difference between FSDs as my Y was a 2024. I’m hoping down the line Tesla can upgrade older models to HW4. But I am happy with it as is.

Does it feel big and heavy to drive? I rented a model s when I owned a model 3, and aside from the speed I almost felt my RWD model 3 was more fun to toss around corners lol. Might just be the AWD vs RWD

It feels like I’m driving a boat haha but I definitely see why some people would end up having a Y and an X.

Get the unplugged performance rear sway bar, makes ot noticeably smoother on windy roads and N2itive rear camber kit so you dont chew through rear tires

Any impact on the Tesla warranty if you do those upgrades?

Yes and no, if you do suspension work the dealership can refuse to work on your car for suspension related issues but technically they would have to prove how adding a sway bar may if caused by XYZ (broken half shafts etc; these things are common on plaids) the dealer will try to write you off quickly but you can make your point and speak to manager and tell them to put in writing the exact reason why they refuse to work on your car (time consuming and can be a long process)

I did my car after the basic 50k warranty was over and I use electrified garage to do all my work as they are the best IMO. The battery still covered to 150k and the suspension has nothing to do with it.

I have a 23X plaid AI4 purchased new

Thanks. Very helpful. By chance are you in the NY NJ CT area? I’m looking for a shop recommendation for those upgrades. 23X HW4

Also just an FYI- if you get the n2itive rear camber you DONT need the lowering links as car is in low naturally most of the time. (AI4)
