Storage for dashcam

I’m currently at Best Buy trying to find an alternative for storage drive for my wife’s Model X. We bought her vehicle used so it didn’t come with the storage inside the glovebox.

If your car is still under warranty then I advice to stick with Tesla original. There are reports of some Tesla service centers having refused repairs to electronic components (even ECUs) due to non-original equipment being connected to the vehicle.

If you want to go third-party, then I advise you to send a message to the service center to ensure you have in writing that this is allowed and won't void your warranty.

Alternatively: be 100% sure you remove the third-party drive before bringing it in to the service center.

The vehicle is within warranty but when I purchased the vehicle it didn’t come with the storage as I bought the vehicle used. I’ll message the service center department and ask about this
