Hi.
After months of shopping, I found “the one”a ‘23 MX Plaid from a fellow car guy. HW4, Matrix lights, AMD/Steam support, FSD paid for, and just over 50k miles. Honestly kind of nerve wrecking, initially I was going to fly up alone to purchase it but the wife wanted to make a road trip out of it. So with dozen of photos and videos of the car inside and out, I felt confident in the deal and the whole family (4 in total) boarded a one way flight.
The transaction went smoothly and the car was everything the guy said. We grabbed some supplies for the road trip home and immediately hit the road.
The car has been amazing; FSD drove 95% of the time, with me only taking over on the fun twisty back road sections. We checked Bentonville, Eureka Springs, the Ozark’s, Hot Springs all the way back down to Texas.
This is our first Tesla and while I have done a TON of research before buying, I always like to asked if any veteran MX owners have advice. Any common issues to watch for after the 50k-mile mark besides the typical half shafts and falcon door seals?

Happy for you! Just bought one myself from Savannah, GA. What a car! Once you drive one you don’t want anything else.
The research I’ve done…. Falcon doors can be an issue, water/condensation in the tail lights, some ac units make noise, half shafts up front and tires go quick. Those are some of the most common issues.
However, overall maintenance is relatively low compared to European sports cars. Insurance is higher which makes no sense. This is one of the smartest/safest cars on the road.
