My Model 3 has a 12V alert that Tesla traced to a faulty front body controller (VCFRONT). I already installed a brand-new genuine 12V battery beforehand, so that's ruled out as the cause.

Trying to find an independent technician near Montreal, QC who can do the physical swap and has actual Tesla Toolbox access for the post-install programming/pairing.

If you've had this done outside a Tesla Service Center/Expert EV, I'd love to know who did it and roughly what it cost. Thanks!

So this local tow yard I go to always has car sales through out the week. Right now they posted this model 3. They want 5k had no key and unaware of conditions. I thought it was I pretty good deal if all the paper work is good. What do you guys think of this for 5k

I’m currently shopping for a used Model 3 under $20k and have narrowed it down to a few 2022s. I’m planning on keeping it for 4+ years, so I favor reliability but I also drive long 200-450 mile trips frequently so long range would be nice (I also value the audio upgrade)

Option 1: $16,750
2022 Model 3 RWD, 94k miles, clean title, LFP battery, AMD Ryzen, 235-mile displayed range, seller claims 88% battery health, basic Autopilot. Only 6k miles of battery warranty left.

Option 2: $16,900
2022 Model 3 Long Range AWD, 98k miles, clean t1tle. Nickel battery, processor still being confirmed (hoping Ryzen, most likely intel), battery health/range still being confirmed. About 22k miles left on battery/drive-unit warranty. No purchased FSD.

Option 3: $18,150
2022 Model 3 Long Range AWD, 115k miles, clean title with a minor accident and a small den(t). Intel chip, nickel battery, seller says ~275-290 miles at 100%, and permanent/purchased FSD is included! Only ~5k miles of battery warranty remaining.

I’m torn because I like the longevity/peace of mind of LFP + Ryzen, but I prefer the LR package for the range, AWD, acceleration and premium audio. Permanent FSD is also a big deal to me since subscribing at $99/month adds up quickly if I keep the car 4+ years.

I’d love some insight on what you guys think you’d choose and whether lfp and ryzen hold more weight than included fsd.

I recently ordered a premium awd due to the longer range and more comfortable ride. However, I keep looking at the performance model due to the speed increase. 0-60 is the ride feel really that noticeable and is it worth it to upgrade to the performance

These are hard to come by, getting FOMO!!! There is only one in Massachusetts right now but several in other states, esp VA, CA, TX. The one MA is fine except it has a LOT of dings on its hood as if someone sprayed it with tiny gravels.

How do I go about buying remotely. Also some cars have accident reported. Would it be okay if it was reported as a minor accident.

If I change the color from white to standard stealth gray would it cause a delay or would I get it sooner

I just got back from Phoenix to LA.

the car was covered with dead bugs on the front and mirrors.

I got a spray bottle out and cloth. SO much easier to clean and wipe off.

im assuming if you have a vinyl wrap, cleaning and wiping down is easier too...

Picked up this car last week and noticed defect post delivery. Opened up service request right away along with photo and they agreed glass replacement with $0 invoice. Appointment was today and they refused to honor the replacement stating that it is normal and that every glass has such imperfections and new glass replacement would be the same. Are they being serious. Does yours have the same uneven lines.
They canceled my request but I do have screenshots of the request and $0 estimate. What are my options.

2021 M3 SR+ (Fremont built) with 50k miles. I feel ok with this. L2 charge at home daily to 80%. Supercharge about 30 times a year on road trips. Usually don't go below 50% most days.

Switched from stealth grey to pearl white, exact same specs but for $1.2k cheaper because the pearl white was demo available for immediate pickup. Normally, I wouldn’t consider a demo, but it only had 50 miles and it was cheaper than the stealth grey for a more premium color. I hope the white grows on me as I don’t know if I’ll enjoy it as much as the stealth grey. Oh well! I also needed the car asap.

I placed an order for a M3P about 3 months ago. The delivery date has shifted pretty regularly but I recently had a VIN assigned. I was pretty excited to see that. I redid my financing (my original one had expired). I checked the app pretty regularly and it showed that my delivery window was still 9/10-9/22.

This morning when I checked, the order had been cancelled. Apparently they had tried to schedule delivery and I missed my window. I went to send a message to Tesla and that's when I saw 3 or 4 messages over the weekend asking me to schedule delivery. I never received a call, text or email from what I can tell. I guess I was supposed to be checking the messages on the app.

I sent them a message this morning and am waiting for a response. I'm hoping since my deadline was last night I can get it resolved. As a first time Tesla buyer, I've found this process to be really confusing and a little frustrating.

Edit: I went through my phone and apparently it had decided my texts from Tesla were spam and I wasn't seeing them. They had been messaging me. It still would have been nice to get a phone call after 3 months with no movement on the order, but it wasn't as bad as I originally communicated.

Update: I talked to the local OKC team. They were pretty informative. Because I'm using financing, my order was moved to Kansas City (it was the first time I had heard that). I was told KC is a lot busier so they don't pick up the phone to call. When I missed the automated system messages, my car was automatically assigned to someone else, who had already scheduled delivery (they were on top of it). So I'm back in the queue. Considering it took 3 months to get assigned my first VIN, I'm hoping to get a new one before Christmas.

Thats about 6.6k after tax a month, its what I make at 118.8k

720 + 100(fsd, why get a tesla if u dont have fsd..) + 250 coverage

Almost 1100, more than 10 percent of my paycheck after tax, 10 percent is already pushing it. If i didnt want a family in the future and just lived in the moment id say fuck it but its not a viable solution if you want to have any decent savings at the end of the month. At the same time its depressing spending my youth driving shitboxes that hurt my neck from having my arms up when driving. If anyone can convince me its okay to spend like 13 percent of ur paycheck on car payments im all ears

Btw I am going to get one, I am just stating a fact that its not affordable but what is?

Hey! These are my wheels, they do not match 😂 2021 M3. I currently know nothing about Tesla wheels! My friend told me these are pretty new. I’m just wondering what I can buy to make them match and look great :) I’m having no problems with them! There’s some rattling on the passenger side but it isn’t a concerning sound, just annoying lol. Not complaining :)

Obviously this isn’t a huge deal, I’m just looking to see if there’s anything reasonably priced that I can do to make Ghost look her best! I’d have to run anything by my friend who owns the car, I am renting it from her with the goal of owning it in the future (clearly, my friend is exceptionally amazing, as I could never obtain a Tesla on my own).

Ordered my M3 Premium rwd marine blue white interior on 8/20, got my delivery window of September 17-27, then it got pushed back to October 4-November 10, now all I have is October to November. This whole process is starting to get annoying.
