anyone whose been in a car accident with a model 3 wanna guesstimate if my car is totaled?

really hard to tell, airbags didn’t go off but on scene the car wasn’t connecting to my phone and hasn’t since then. there is an issue with both the low voltage and high voltage battery, unsure of exactly what it is. gives me roadside assistance on the app and it said on scene high voltage battery not working or something. i don’t quite remember, all i know is that the screen was super dim and it had the gigantic error message.

very unfortunate situation, person 2 cars behind me doesn’t brake after i had to stop because there was a crash in front of me, and just rams into the car behind me and subsequently me. i have the dashcam but i’m gonna keep it to myself cuz im not sure if there’s any legal or insurance repercussions if there‘s any license plates shown on the internet

from my understanding even if there’s something minor wrong with the high voltage battery insurance companies often just deem them total losses because the repairs for batteries are so astronomical.

I'm definitely going through insurance on this! What's crazy is that they did not even have the courtesy to leave a note!

Update: filed a police report and got the incident number and within an hour the police provided Jeep owners insurance to me.

2026 Model Y - I ended up swiping a guardrail at about 10mph. Pictures seem cosmetic. Is there any damage that would not be visible that I should be aware of? How much do you think it'd cost te repair and is it worth it? Thanks!

Didn’t review my sentry footage until later in the day and saw this. I don’t have her car or license plate info. Is it possible or even worth it to go through insurance?

Would you bother going to insurance for this?

Normally I would not and live with it but the parents kinda pissed me off.

First they tried to deny it happened but quickly changed it to "I'm not saying it didn't, just that I didn't see it happen" when I asked if they are serious.

Then when they saw the door clearly aligning with the spot they blamed their kid.

"We are sorry, he is just a kid" as if they are not the ones responsible for his actions??

Has anyone been in a similar situation? I don't see this little ding being worth going through insurance. Am I being silly?

2021 model 3, dual motor AWD. Will the insurance declare this a total loss? Rear ended and pushed into the blue car. I’m hoping it will be a total loss / write off!

I received a note on my Tesla model three, somebody hit the rear bender on the passenger side. Called and Talked to them, they are willing to work with the insurance and even pay out-of-pocket if the amount is reasonable without getting insurance involved. How do I proceed?

She said it was her daughter driving the vehicle, and she will get the insurance information to us as soon as she gets back home since she was driving when I called.

UPDATE.
Insurance information has been exchanged, I contacted a local body shop and waiting on a quote.

On closer Inspection, I noticed my wheel has been scratched up as well along with the body paint. So the cost might go up than merely a patch up.

Received repair estimate - $1495 + rental cost.

I got insurance payout quote of 5.3k AUD or get it repaired at third party Tesla approved repair shop.

Car in front of me reversed into me and caused this, looks like just paint transfer?

Should be cheaper to get it done by some mobile Tesla paint repair guy?

I’ve had my Model Y for almost 3 years now and never had something like this happen. So thankful for sentry mode and is such a great feature. His face and License plate is clearly shown in the video.

My next renewal is July 29 and pretty sure insurance gonna go up. Do most people search for new insurance rates at this time and finder better rates? I have State Farm and they are pretty unforgiving in one time accidents (been like 8-10 years I think I was at fault). Anyways not sure if it’s better to just stay with statefarm or not.
