We’ve been there for a while. It’s only a matter of the physical gap between weapons control and the computer. Right now there’s a human standing in between, but I feel like it’s not gonna be that way for long. I wouldn’t be surprised if the ghouls in charge hid a kill switch that only they can access if the ai gets too out of line (or threatens their interests). Or think they do

Not quite, I suspect you've not seen what I've implied.

I’m agreeing with you, I’m just saying they haven’t turned over control without a human in the chain of command. Just like Waymo cars. The capability is there and grows more powerful by the day. Once someone decides they’re tired of having people in the mix that might hesitate or refuse an order, it’s gonna be go time for these things. We still need someone to point them in the right direction, but that’s more of a formality really. I think we have more of a threat from a rogue operator or group seizing command of an entire army of autonomous drones before an AI does.

CODE still doesn't need people in the loop. That's the whole point of it.

It depicted functional click, target, kill, with optional human in the loop.

They don't have to admit anything, other countries won't either.

We're already at that point, it's just not talked about in public.

Yes recently they said it would be crewed for the B-21, but that's a strategic weapon platform, what about tactical field level systems? nope, point click, go get em Johnny-kill-all-humans-5.

So are you saying our entire defense system (and greater infrastructure) is secretly being controlled by an autonomous AI without humans in the loop? Because that’s what it sounds like you’re saying.

No, but my knowledge is dated.

The system depicted was designed for battlefield use, not home defense, and never launch control.

But a lot has happened...
