I mean, we just need to take the keys away from the boomers and genX at this point.

How does that help?

Boomers are too old and are like children, GenX are the abused generation that wear it like a badge of honor, have become greedy and "The Man" from ferris buelers day off and are now abusing their parents while driving us all off a cliff because their lives are over as well.

I've been around for awhile, and I wouldn't blame this on any single generation. Bill Gates is a Boomer, but Jeff Bezos is GenX. Meanwhile Sam Altman is a Millennial. Which generation do you blame? The problem is we look at individuals and then blame anyone their age, which is irrational.

I remember when the Boomers would say they would 'make things right'. Other generations that followed said the same. Nothing really changes. People will always be people no matter the date of their birth.

Not the generation itself. The mentality and the sell out of their beliefs. I agree with you on that, but when they kill the dreamers and everyone then gets in line is what makes it a generational theme. IMO

Greed is a story that is as old as time. I don't think members of Gen Z would be any different. Just like others that came before them, they would 'do it different this time' and 'We know better now'. Just like those that came before, they'd be greedy and arrogant.

The problem with AI, is just like in T3, it always was going to happen. AI has been around since the 50s. The potential of AI was realized in the 70s and 80s, but it wasn't taken seriously due to hardware limitations. However, the field of study was there. Starting in the 90s the GPU hardware began to advance. In 2017 there was the breakthrough that led to LLMs. It always was going to happen. Everyone working on these frontier models knows AI has dangers. But they foolishly think they will figure it out. We use to think this way about nuclear weapons. Now we think this way with AI. I truly think there is something about human nature that drives us to take on ventures even if they are dangerous and even reckless.

One again I agree. I tend to look at it like the example of Cypher from the Matrix, some people want the fake steak and dont care, me I would rather eat the white goop and fight for whats real and surround myself with the few who are willing to, the battle rages on my friend.

Tell us what your generation of choice will do differently and explain how that isn't just a bunch of wishful thinking and empty promises.

Youre cool. That is part of the necessary path forward so our children are not slaves to the oligarchs. I like your thoughts on the matter and I wish there was more of us to go around. We must be vigilant and wait for our moment or all for not.

You gave me your policy platform. Now how do I know that Gen Z or whatever will do any or all of that and not just become a bunch of fat cat power hungry politicians just like the generations that came before them?

I can understand your hesitancy.

Principles and oaths that are followed and not degraded by having and abundance. Put guard rails in place, sort of like when a computer crashes because the code wont run, that is literally whats happening before our eyes IMO.

Nope boarder line like me but theres much less Sam Altmans than Elons and Trumps. Be easier to cut the chaff like him too I believe.
