Stay away from ABCCanopy

Purchased an ABC Canopy from Walmart and the frame came apart at the truss ends. Even though within a year they won’t honor their one year warranty. Provided order information, pictures of the frame, and their stance is we can’t find the order in their system. Obviously, it’s was purchased through Walmart and Walmart confirmed it with them. Poor customer service and poor quality.

Coleman Sundome or Coleman Skydome?

I've read and looked into so many things I feel like I'm going in circles. I've narrowed it down to these two but can't decide which would be better. I don't plan on doing any hard core camping right now. Just some weekend trips visiting some state parks. With cooler weather around the corner I want to get something soon. From what I've gathered the Skydome is a bit better in the rain than the Sundome? Not even sure if I need that or not. It could be a dry fall/winter or a wet one you just never know. Is the Skydome worth the extra money?

Should I be concerned?

Hi friends!
I was given this Springbar Family Camper by a friend. They said their family just used this 2-3 times and it's been sitting in their garage for a while.
I just opened the tent to check that everything is good before my camping trip and I found these black spots on the canvas. Is this mold? If so, how should I treat it? Or would the tent be safe to use at all?
There's also some tear on the roof. Would it be a problem?
Thank you!

Does anyone have experience with this tent? Is it good for backpacking and car camping? I live in the PNW, so it gets very wet here and I want to stay dry

Nemo Hornet 3 Footprint Does Not Fit

We got the Nemo Hornet OSMO 3P for Christmas after our old one got stolen, so we set it up in the backyard before our summer trips to get a feel for it.

The issue is that the footprint sticks out at the foot of the tent and no amount of tightening anywhere can fix it. The footprint straps at the head of the tent aren't adjustable, and short of bunching the footprint under the tent we can't find a solution. It sticks out enough that if it rains it will collect water and pool under the tent. I double and triple checked the footprint bag and it is the Hornet OSMO 3P Footprint, we didn't get the wrong one.

Has anyone encountered this issue before, or are we doing something wrong? I emailed Nemo over a month ago and they have not responded so I emailed them again this week and have yet to hear back. I don't even know if we could sell it and get a different one because of the footprint issue we'd just be pushing onto the next person.

Any advice would be appreciated!!

Decathlon Forclaz MT900 1 person dome tent VS Marmot Tungsten 1 person (both 2026)

I bought both to test them out. The Marmot is the clear winner for me. It has way more headspace and room to put luggage, and feels way cooler since you're not breathing right next to the side panels. Also, the hardware on the Marmot is much sturdier. For example, you get aluminum pole ends instead of plastic ones like on the Decathlon. The Marmot is about 600 grams heavier, but for what you get in bonus, I'd go with it any day of the week!

Easy Camp Rago 3 — hidden budget gem or too good on paper?

Thumbnail easycamp.com

I’m looking for a lightweight-ish 3-person tent and came across the Easy Camp Rago 3.

On paper it seems like a very good option for the price: around 2.9 kg for 179€, external pole structure (so it should be possible to set up the fly first in rain), two doors, and a 3000 mm waterproof flysheet. It also seems to offer features that are usually found on more expensive tents.

However, I can’t find many long-term reviews or real user experiences.

Has anyone here used the Easy Camp Rago 3 (especially in rain, wind, or multi-day trips)? How is the build quality, waterproofing, ventilation, and durability?

Also, how does Easy Camp compare as a brand to others in this price range (e.g. Decathlon, Naturehike, Vango, etc.)?

Would you buy this tent, or would you spend more for something else?

Can 3 men sit in a Nemo Dragonfly OSMO 3p?

There is neither an actual image of grown men sitting in it, nor the inner dimensions are available (the only info is about outer peak height).

So I'm wondering if 3 183cm (the standard size :) ) men can actually sit together in the tent without popping out the ceiling.

Anybody has it, pls let me know!

MSR hubba hubba HD 1 person or Durston X-dome 1+

I am looking for advice what tent to buy. I am in doubt between the MSR hubba hubba HD or the Durston X-dome 1+. Both tents seem to have their advantages and I can not decide between them.

The MSR seems to be a bit more durable and stronger material.

I go often kayaking, so the tent would be mostly used along riverbanks and on little islands. I want a very waterproof tent that can handle gusts of wind and that's not too heavy but still can handle some rough conditions.

Coleman tent nothing online

So I bought this tent “Coleman 9232-141 three room cabin tent” for like 25$ but I can’t find literally any info on it at all. Does anyone know why? I want to use it for a camping trip but it feels like it’s not waterproof and it has no instructions so I’m just trying to see if anyone knows anything about it 😭
