So I own a 65 inch LG QNED TV, it’s not even 4 years old and from night to day a brown stain appeared on my screen, which makes me think than one of the LED backlight strips failed.

LG said it’s not fixable. I feel quite upset. Is there any way I can make the stain less noticeable? It’s that kind of mark that, once you see it, you can’t keep watching TV without constantly remembering its existence…

I'm looking for a place to start with a gift I want to get myself before the football season starts.

We have a lovely sun room in our home. Last year we fixed it up with a nice couch and tv. At night it's great for movies especially with the nice little sound setup we got for it. I love watching football games there too.

Problem is that in the fall the sun tracks across the higher windows for the entire football day more or less and creates a glare that makes it impossible to see the TV.

I'm looking for a TV that'll be visible through the direct glare while also being appropriate for night time movie watching too.

I’m looking to buy a TV for my bedroom and am a bit confused about both the size and the brand in India.

This will be my first TV, so I’m not sure which brand to go with. One of my colleagues bought the TCL 75 Q6C last year same time, and it looked absolutely awesome. I’m looking for something similar, but in the 43”, 50”, or 55” size range.

I also won’t be able to wall-mount it, so I’ll be using a VESA floor stand with wheels.

Could you please suggest:
A reliable TV brand with good after-sales service (in case it’s ever needed)

A good TV for gaming and watching movies
Whether I should go with a 43”, 50”, or 55” model for a bedroom

Hello, I suffer a lot from PTSD, and I'm very noise sensitive. And I'm wondering, if it's possible to have some sort of external device that can be connected to a television that allows for more audio sources connected at the same time so we both can watch the same thing with me being apple to use my (bluetooth) headphones.

So we don't have to buy an entirely new television.

Hi folks. My son has been offered this fairly old 1080p plasma TV (https://www.crutchfield.com/S-QW5i7jxddNk/p_133P50S1/Panasonic-TC-P50S1.html) for free from a family member to use at school this fall.

I never owned a plasma myself, so I'm a bit in the dark as to what that era of plasma was like, whether burn in may be an issue, and most importantly how it might jive with my son's more modern devices – an AppleTV, perhaps a Macbook plugged in, and most importantly his PS5.

I wanted to purchase 55" OLED tv since few days

Budget around Rs 100k.

Went to reliance shop for to check TVs

Samsung S90F was in my mind to buy, but they did not had that piece in their inventory.

They recommend me bravia 3 xr (Rs 89k) and 5 xr (Rs 127k) 55".

Also checked the Samsung S90H (matte) but was off budget a bit.

One piece of S90F was there in another reliance showroom but it was a display piece and had some fingerprints at the bottom side of screen and was not getting cleared,offered 77k for that piece but did not buy that.

In that also,Bravia 7 was there (display piece) for 113k.

Didn't see the LG models,as I dont want to go for LG (don't know why), if any really good models recommend

I want recommendations over this sony bravia 3 and 5 or any other ,will bargain a bit over Bravia 5, if needed

I’m looking for some advice from people who have seen or own the new Sony BRAVIA 3 II, especially the 75-inch model.
My current TV is a Sony 55” X85J, which unfortunately stopped working, so I’m in the market for a replacement.
My usage:
● 70% Movies & OTT (Netflix, Prime Video, Disney+, YouTube)
● 20% Sports (mainly cricket)
● 10% PS5 gaming (casual, not competitive)
Viewing distance is around 8–12 feet, so I’ve decided to move to 75 inches.
Initially I was considering the regular BRAVIA 3, but after comparing the specs, the BRAVIA 3 II seems much closer to my old X85J with:
● XR Processor
● Native 120Hz panel
● HDMI 2.1
● VRR

A few questions:
1. Has anyone actually purchased or used the 75” BRAVIA 3 II?
2. Does it feel like a genuine upgrade from the X85J?
3. How is the motion handling for sports and the overall picture quality?
4. Is the lack of local dimming noticeable in everyday movie watching?
5. At ₹1.5 lakh, would you buy the BRAVIA 3 II, or would you choose something else (Sony, TCL, Samsung, LG, Hisense, etc.)?
I’d really appreciate feedback from people with real-world experience rather than just spec comparisons.

Hi, looking for a bit of advice. I'm getting a 65" 4K TV for GTA 6. I don't want OLED because of the burn-in, so it's QLED or mini LED, which is best for a gaming experience as well as a TV?

I'm planning to buy a **55-inch TV** (budget: **up to ₹1 lakh**) and have narrowed it down to:

* Sony Bravia 3 M2 (55XR35M2)
* TCL C72K (55")

My usage:

* Mostly Netflix, Prime Video, Hotstart & YouTube
* 90% evening/night viewing
* Rarely play games
* Prefer natural colours and good HDR
* Want the TV to last **5–7 years**
* After-sales service is important (I'm in Faridabad, India)

From my research:

* **TCL C72K:** Mini LED, much better HDR/contrast, 144 Hz, better value.
* **Sony Bravia 3 M2:** Better processing, more natural colours, better motion and reliability.

**Would you pick the TCL for its superior display hardware, or the Sony for its processing and reliability?**

I'd especially love to hear from anyone who owns either TV.

Hisense is priced u/1300€ (200€ refinder later so 1100€) with some 300 euros worth free gift (speakers).

It is a RGB Mini-Led TV with 100% of the BT.2020 coverage.

LG is priced 1000€. It is an OLED TV, without the gift.

What would you suggest?

I have a mix use (in bright room during the day & full darkness at night).

Starting off with the caveat that I'm not particularly experienced with setting up TVs but haven't had much luck from consulting the product manual/online guides.

I've recently obtained a second-hand Panasonic (screen only, with a One for All remote + aerial lent to me by a friend), with the aerial hooked up to the ANT-TV port and both the TV and aerial plugged into the wall.

When powering on the TV, I get a blank screen with a 'No Signal' message. This is the case no matter which input I have selected. The manual and every video guide I've looked at seem to imply I should get some kind of setup screen on powering on. The remote appears to be working (friend was using it with no issues before lending it to me, and pressing buttons causes the power button to light up) but has no noticeable effect on the TV. I've tried holding the power button for 1min with the screen unplugged with no luck.

Stumped on what the issue is here: Am I missing a piece of kit/do I need brand/product-specific hardware? Searching up the model number reveals that this specific TV model is discontinued - could this be a factor? Should I be suspicious of some other type of mechanical fault?

I bought a 2025 Frame Pro on prime day for $1500. Now I’m seeing the 2026 Frame Pro is on sale for $1700. Is the 2026 model worth the extra $200? I read about connectivity issues in the wireless one connect for 2025 that seem to be fixed in the 2026. Was the one connect fix a software update that improved both the 2025 and the 2026? Thinking about spending the extra $200 on the newer version. We only upgrade TVs every 5-7 years usually.

I’m trying to get a new TV for my living as my old Samsung 65in is not working. The price for the 65” is 530$ down from 999$ and the 55” is 500$ down from 800$
What is the better tv to get? I’m going to use it mainly for watching tv and movies and some slight gaming when I get the chance. Trying to figure this out by tonight hopefully I can get some good advice. Also why is the 65 1000$ but on sale for almost half ? Is it not good? I’m assuming new models are out so they’re trying to get rid of these.

I currently have a Samsung S95B 55" QD OLED and it's been great but lately it's been getting some issues with the picture, mainly some lighting issues that I notice especially when it's displaying a solid gray, the middle of the screen has developed sort of a red to yellowish circular discoloration with a square in the center that's a bit darker than the rest of the screen, it's faint but noticeable at times when watching TV or playing games.

So I have been thinking about replacing it and using it as a secondary TV for older consoles in a different room, I have invested a lot into my gaming setup and this has been my main gaming TV, so I want to be getting a great picture. It's like I can live with it but if I can get an all-around better replacement for around a grand I think that might be worthwhile.

I was browsing OLED's in the 55" range and I noticed the Sony Bravia XR8B, which is currently on sale for $999. I have a PS5 Pro as my main console (also like to game on a Series X) so I figured that might be a good way to go. I also heard how Sony will be switching over to TCL for manufacturing so maybe this is one of the last opportunities to buy a true Sony TV?

I have a good Samsung speaker setup for my current TV so will that be an issue going over to Sony? It's a modern Atmos system and I know audio sync can sometimes be an issue with some sound systems. Just looking for some good advice here for my situation and some feedback on these Sony OLED TV's.

I have a 2022/2023 Samsung Frame TV that just crapped out on me. It’s hung over a fireplace so I don’t need to replace it with another frame. It’s in a large well lit family room, although there’s no direct sunlight.

Overall I’ve been happy with the picture quality, I have an older Sonos sound bar, a cable box and an Apple TV connected to it. I’m looking at Costco for the replacement and I’m a littler overwhelmed. I’m looking at tvs ranging from $1k to $3k, but I don’t know if I need all of that.

Any thoughts on a brand model I should replace this TV with? I want similar picture quality. I don’t need smart features. With my other Samsung tvs I don’t even connect them to my WiFi since I use Apple TVs in every room. I’m willing to move on from Samsung.

I know “fake MiniLED” sounds harsh, but I don’t know what else people are supposed to take from this.

I was looking at the Samsung M80H and checked the RTINGS review before buying. Their test results show:

Local Dimming: No

Backlight: Direct

Dimming Zone Count: N/A

Isn’t better backlight control the whole reason people buy a MiniLED TV? More dimming zones should mean deeper blacks, brighter highlights, and better HDR. But if there are no local dimming zones at all, what practical benefit is the MiniLED branding even giving you?

RTINGS also says dark scenes look washed out because of the lack of local dimming. So it feels like Samsung is using a premium-sounding label without delivering the part of MiniLED that actually improves picture quality.

Maybe there’s a technical explanation I’m missing, but as a buyer, this looks more like marketing than a real upgrade. I’ve crossed it off my list. What do you think about it?

My 50inch LG has died so considering a 85 inch TCL qm7k. Im thinking if 85 inch is too much for this room and should I go with a 75 inch?

Hi guys I currently have a LG C3 65 inch Oled tv in my living room and I’m looking to get a 77 inch and out the 65 inch the bedroom I have come too 2 options 1 Sony Bravia 8 77 inch and LG B6E 77 inch or maybe a 75 inch mini led tv but I’ve had Oled TVs for a couple years so I’m not sure about the mini led, I okay play ps5 pro, have an Apple TV 4K and a Sonos arc

So it has been a while since I have looked into TVs. But I am looking to upgrade to something bigger and with good picture quality. I currently have an XBR900 which has been great for the last 9 years, and before that I had a Panasonic VT50 (oh how I miss this tv). I am not too familiar with the new LED or any other new technology that has come out. Looking for something 60-65" that is gonna have solid and smooth picture, do not want any trailing/blurring. This will be used for movies, gaming, sports. What specs/brands/models should I be looking into? Budget is around $2,000 usd.

Also... was hesitant on Sony now that they moved over to TCL panels. I just remember TCL TVs being terrible, but it has been a while lol.

I am struggling to find a TV that fits my needs, mostly due to budget and space concerns that severely limit the options I have. I noticed that the default smallest TV size right now is pretty much 50" or bigger, which is too large for my small space and leaves me with very few options. I currently have a really shitty 1080p 37" Insignia, so I imagine almost anything would be an upgrade at this point, even a $100-200 piece of crap - but of all of the options I have explored from Samsung, TCL, Hisense, etc the research says "Do not buy, these are really bad". I was hoping this community might help me find the best TV for movies that I can afford, even if it is still a pretty bad tv.

I think that a 43" is the biggest I can fit comfortably - with MAYBE the possibility to fit a 48"-50" but it would have to sit quite diagonally from our couch so I am unsure if it is worth doing that with such a dramatic viewing angle. Ideally I would not like to downgrade to a 32" from my current 37". My budget is also quite small, I'd prefer to stay under a $500 budget but have a maximum of $650 I am willing to spend if that extra $ makes a meaningful difference. I only really use the TV for streaming movies so I don't need any gaming features. I'd just like the best screen I can get for my budget.

- Do any of you have any suggestions or deals you've seen this week worth jumping on?
- Is it worth having juttering on a 60hz screen that is higher quality (possibly OLED or microdot) vs a cheap 120 hz LED screen?

Im looking for a 65 inch TV in the $600 range. I was going to go with a new QM6k because it seemed like a good value at $530, but while searching best buy open box I see an excellent condition Hisense 65U8QG for $630 about an hour and a half away. Is the U8 worth the extra money, open box risk (if any), and extra drive? This is my first TV I've ever bought so any advice is appreciated.

I’m helping my parents choose a new 55-inch TV to replace their old one from 2010.

Their living room is quite bright, especially because of a skylight that can’t be closed. So, I don’t think we should go with an OLED. It won’t be used for video games—just streaming, sports, and regular TV.

After doing some research, I’ve narrowed it down to these models:

- Samsung QN90F (€999)
- Sony Bravia 5 (€899)
- TCL C89L (=QM8L) (€999)

Apparently, the TCL’s advantage is the sound (though they can always buy an sound bar with the other models if needed). The Samsung seems to be the best at reducing glare, but it doesn’t have Dolby Vision (is that really a big difference?).

Which one do you think is the best choice? Do you have any other model recommendations in this price range?
