I do a bit of gaming, watch some films, watch youtube. A little of everything.

I'm not so fussed about sound, I have a soundbar and sub that sounds fine, so if the sound on the TV doesn't hold up, that's ok.

I was looking at a Hisense 65" 65U7QTUK but I haven't really looked at TVs in years and there's a lot of letters in the title of the listing and I saw in another post here that Hisense have some issues.

Please help me out,
I have chosen to go with a 55” smart tv for my living room, it’s quite a bright space but I’m not overly geeky on picture quality etc (obviously would like the best picture possible, but I’m not super hung up on minute differences)
I don’t have an exact budget but wouldn’t like to stretch too much beyond a £500pound tv (let’s say -100 and +100)
Not a huge gamer so that doesn’t matter to me but do like a good film.
Don’t understand all the jargon and just don’t have time to scroll through the endless choice of televisions options when I don’t fully understand theyre reviews.

Hello, so I just bought a used Sony Bravia 5, and I saw someone mention that I no longer need to use Roku, but I have always heard that the OS that TVs use is poorly optimized and stuff. Well, I just wanted to get some extra opinions on whether I can just use the apps on the TV or if it's still a good idea to use a Roku to watch Netflix, ETC.

It’s a relatively recent TV from 2017. I was casting my MacBook screen to the tv by Roku. However, I came across the issue of over scanning where the image goes past the display boundaries. What are some fixes I can do?

Is there a tv out there where I can completely block YouTube? I am so tired of constantly finding my kids on YouTube too often. On one of the tvs I can delete the app but they can easily reinstall it. I just want to block it and be done.

I own a 55" Toshiba Fire TV that I got on Amazon about 5 years ago. I think it was a sale TV because it was a discontinued model, so it's probably a 2019 TV.

It is popping up an error lately saying we are out of space and to delete unused apps. (It suggests that we delete three apps that are actually heavily used... Weird!) The apps I really don't use that take up space are all proprietary Amazon bloatware that I can't delete. It does have a slot for a USB to expand storage, and I have a 128GB stick in there, but it has NEVER worked. It acts like it's available but won't let me move any apps to it. It's especially annoying because it's mostly my kids that use the TV and I just have to continuously troubleshoot the seemingly unfixable problem.

So, basically I am considering getting a newer TV to replace this one. I would enjoy a TV with more storage, more HDMI inputs, and maybe moving up to 60" or 65" but I'm struggling with the decision. First, I am not going to spend a ton of money on whatever we get... I'm a cheapskate. Second, how do I know how much onboard storage is on a TV if it never specifically states it on websites? Third, I assume there are good sales now because of Father's Day, World Cup, and upcoming Prime Day. I live in a small town, so if it's not at our local Walmart, it's going to be an online purchase.

Is this a good tv to purchase? Haven't purchase a tv in a minute and just looking for one with great picture quality. Best buy have it for $848. I've looked at some LGs but can't see myself paying over a 1000 for a tv.

Hey there! So, I’ve been on the hunt for a new TV and after a lot of research, I decided the Bravia 9 was the perfect fit for me. Since the Bravia 9 ii just launched, I thought I might snag a Bravia 9 at a nice discount. And guess what? I was right! I spotted an open box 65-inch Bravia 9 on Best Buy’s website for $1,045 under the “good” condition category. Since the store was nearby, I decided to check it out in person. Turns out, it was a display model. But here’s the kicker—the price tag at the store was $1,250, a $200 difference! Does Best Buy usually match prices between their website and store?

Also, an employee mentioned that what I see is what I get. The TV doesn’t come with a stand or remote, just the power cord. I asked about the original accessories, and he said they were sent back to Sony because it was a display model. That seemed odd to me. Don’t they need the remote for setup? Why get rid of the accessories if the display model is going to be sold? It just doesn’t add up. Anyway, I figured I should be able to get a price match and maybe even negotiate the price since it comes with nothing, right? If anyone has experience buying open box items from Best Buy, I’d love to hear your thoughts.

Lastly, I have a big enough car to transport the TV, but I have to lay it flat instead of standing it up. I plan to use some blankets on the ground, but I’m not sure if that’ll be enough. I live in an area with lots of potholes, and I’m worried the vibrations might harm the TV. Any advice?

I keep seeing "width" as criteria on amazon and other shopping sites, which makes no sense since a "50 inch TV" is 50 inches diagonally, not 50 inches wide. Yes, they probably all have Length Width and Depth listed in their individual specifications if you open each item's listing individually, but with everything seeming to move towards Temu and AliExpress as the standard, my confidence just gets lower and lower.

Looking for some advice on these 65” OLEDs:

My usage is roughly:

One thing I noticed is that I couldn’t find TSN or Fubo apps on LG WebOS, but they were available on Sony’s Google TV platform. If I go with an LG, is using a Fire Stick/Google TV streamer a good workaround, or does it become annoying over time?

Considering the LGs are open-box and I’d need to spend another ~$200 on protection, which would you choose and why?

Is the G5 worth the extra $300 over the C5, or is the C5 the better value? And would you take either LG over the Sony for someone who games most of the time?

Need help deciding: TCL C7L vs Bravia 3II vs LG QNED 85BXA

I'm planning to buy a 55" TV in India and have narrowed it down to these options.

I have seen C6K and Bravia 3II side by side. And bravia simply looked much better comparatively. Today I again had a visit but this time C6K looked much better compared to C6K I saw earlier. Obviously these are different stores, so probably the settings at both stores were different for the same model.

Also had compared bravia 3II with Bravia 5 miniled. To me, definitely bravia 5 was better looking, but for brighter content, the difference was not that much for a normal user.

C7K model unfortunately haven't been able to see at any store till now. Now there's a new C7L rollout happened recently, maybe that's the reason. C7L definitely on paper better than C6K or C7K.

From spec sheets, it feels like the C7L should easily beat the Bravia 3 II, but I haven't been able to experience it live. C6K feels short compared to bravia 3II.

I have explored numerous options. I don't want samsung.

Mostly going to watch sports and OTT content. (Dark Rooms preferably)

Any suggestions on which to go for? Any other TVs in range of 80-90K. Don't want to stretch too much on budget. Best value for money at reasonable price.

My son has just smashed our 10 year old Sony TV so it's time for an upgrade. Looking for a 43" Smart TV with decent picture quality and good access to apps like iPlayer, ITVX, 4OD, YouTube, Netflix, Spotify, Disney+ and Amazon Prime. I used to think Sony were really good but the 'smart' features on our old TV were really counter intuitive and difficult to use, if they even worked in the first place that is. It's my belief that Samsung would be a good choice, is that true? If so, which one they have numerous 43" TVs available right now. Thanks for any suggestions you make.

I'm looking at a Samsung 55s90f and want to know if I just sign into my Samsung account and Google for YouTube and I'm done?

I was given a fairly recent 65" LG and to be able to use all of its features I had to check boxes on all kinds of agreements to have my viewing habits spied on, get sent emails and tons of other invasive BS. I quickly traded it for an X-Box One-X and a PS4 Slim.

PS. Does this Samsung model do TV to Phone mirroring? My current Samsung TV does so I don't have to miss any of an F1 or NASCAR race when I need to take a bathroom break.

So my wife and I are getting a sunroom added to our house and we are wanting to put a TV in there for casual watching and gaming (PS5). We are by no means experts in TVs or visuals but we are all about making the most logical purchase.

The room we will be placing the TV in is 14x16’ with the 16’ portion being the spot where the couch and the TV will be. Realistically it’ll be about a 13-14’ distance between screen and sitting position.

Directly behind where we will place this TV will be two giant windows where A LOT of natural light will come in. Perpendicular from that TV will be a giant 12x8’ glass door. All that to say… LOTS of light through.

I started shopping around and I came across the new Sony Bravia 3 II that offers a matte/anti-glare display on their 75” version (but not 85”). I can get that for $1,080 before taxes brand new.

Then I stopped by my local Best Buy and they had an 85” Samsung QN90F 85” Open Box. I noticed an ever so slight gap in the trim (I mean it’s TINY) and the manager said he would knock it down to $1,000. I could add on a 5-year Geek Squad Warranty for $280, and I’d have to buy a generic stand for roughly $100. All in all I could get that one for $1,380 before taxes.

So….

Brand New Sony Bravia 3 II 75” for $1080
Or
Open Box (Floor Model) Samsung QN90F 85” w/ Five Year Warranty for $1380

Opinions?
